Mid-Ohio finishes up track improvements after being left off 2025 NASCAR schedule
In the 2025 NASCAR season, the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course is not on the schedule. Not even for the ARCA Menards Series, either. While the track takes a hiatus from the NASCAR world, renovations just finished.
Updates to both the track and facility as a whole will give Mid-Ohio a shot at making it back to the NASCAR schedule. It is a track that has held stock car racing events for years. Many young drivers have learned how to race road courses at this track.
While we won’t see the Truck Series or ARCA return, IndyCar is going to race at Mid-Ohio again. It also will host the Trans-Am Series.
Updates to the course include work on and off the track. There is a major repave of the interior roads on the course as well as a big update on Turn 4 with changes to the runoff area. On top of that, safety barriers and fences have been replaced in three parts of the track.
One thing that will help in the future, new drainage pipes. More than 1,300 feet of them have been added around the course. At times when it does rain during a race weekend, the track has trouble retaining water. Let’s hope this helps with that issue.

For fans who want to see the Truck Series and ARCA return to Mid-Ohio, this is good news. It never hurts when a track shows that it is investing in itself and the future. There has been a lot of changes to the NASCAR schedule but I don’t see why it won’t come back to this facility.
Tentative schedule for NASCAR 2025 season released
The NASCAR schedule for 2025 is starting to be fleshed out. We now have most of the season with a tentative schedule in place. That means fans can start to make travel and viewing plans for their favorite races.
NASCAR has the schedule planned out for the season at this point. Of course, they know where they will race, but the logistics of what time, when, how do you fit the other series into the weekend, etc still matter.
Bob Pockrass of FOX Sports shared the schedule with fans. Here is what it looks like without the times listed.
Those times are not listed at the moment. With how far out the season is, exact times and things can change a lot. But this schedule tells you what to expect if you spend the weekend at Las Vegas or Michigan or Iowa.
