Mike Florio provides injury update on Najee Harris, TJ Watt
The Pittsburgh Steelers came away with a heart-stopping 23-20 win in overtime against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday. They might have come away with a victory over their bitter rivals, but they suffered two injuries to two of the biggest stars in the National Football League, running back Najee Harris and linebacker T.J. Watt.
Watt suffered what many people are fearing was a torn pectoral muscle when trying to tackle Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow. The key to note is there have been no MRIs yet so the team will await those results on Monday. On Sunday night’s “Football Night in America” broadcast, ProFootballTalk’s Mike Florio gave updates on both Watt and Harris.

First, he updated fans on the status of T.J. Watt. “The concern is its a torn pec, but they’ve done no MRIs yet. They’ll do them tomorrow. There’s hope it’s a partial tear and that he’ll be back at some point later this season,” Florio said.
Then, he updated fans on the status of Steelers’ star tailback Najee Harris. “Running back Najee Harris was also injured. He rolled an ankle. The hope is he’ll be fine. They’re still watching and waiting to see what transpires there,” Florio said on Sunday night.

The Pittsburgh Steelers saw a potential major ankle injury happen to running back Najee Harris after he rolled completely over his own leg. While being tackled, video replay showed Harris get his leg completely pinned underneath a defender and he folded over the top — leading to him limping heavily as he came off the field.

Najee Harris suffers painful ankle injury
The former Alabama star exited Pittsburgh’s drive with under two minutes remaining in the game after suffering the injury, and limped off the field under his own power. The injury scare is increased by a recent injury that Harris recovered from over training camp — a lisfranc injury.
Harris and the Steelers had a rough day in the rushing attack, with Harris leaving the game after rushing for only 23 yards on ten carries. Included in his 23-yard effort was an 11-yard run earlier in the game, leaving the remaining nine rushes for a total of 12 yards against the Bengals defense.
