Following a loss last week to the Denver Broncos, the Dallas Cowboys returned to their winning ways Sunday by rolling to a dominating 43-3 win over the Atlanta Falcons. The win moved the Cowboys to 7-2 on the season and kept them in first place in the NFC East.

Following the team’s blowout victory, Dallas head coach Mike McCarthy said he was proud of how his team responded to the Denver loss and bounced back in a big way.

“Clearly, it was the response we were looking for,” McCarthy said, as posted in a tweet from Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News. “Everybody contributed today. Excellent team win. It’s great to see the locker room as it is now.”

The Cowboys were at the top of their game on both sides of the ball Sunday – putting up 431 yards of offense while holding the Falcons to just 214 on the defensive end.

Quarterback Dak Prescott had a big day for Dallas, completing 24-of-31 passes for 296 yards and two touchdowns, while running back Ezekiel Elliott tallied 41 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries. Alongside that duo, wide receiver CeeDee Lamb reeled in six receptions for 94 yards and two scores.

Defensively, Micah Parsons led the way for the Cowboys by making six total tackles and a sack, and Dorance Armstrong Jr. finished with three tackles and a sack of his own. Dallas picked off Atlanta three times in the game, with Jourdan Lewis, Anthony Brown and Trevon Diggs each recording interceptions.

The Dallas Cowboys are back in action Sunday on the road against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Dallas Cowboys receiver CeeDee Lamb suffers injury

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb had a great day against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, but he unfortunately suffered an injury as well. Lamb suffered an arm contusion and was listed as questionable to return, but the Cowboys held a big lead and didn’t need him to re-enter the game.

The Cowboys got back on track offensively after a poor showing a couple weeks ago against the Denver Broncos. Before leaving with an injury against the Falcons, Lamb had six receptions for 94 yards and two touchdowns on seven targets.

Lamb has had a big season for the Cowboys, so hopefully his injury is not serious. On the year prior to Sunday’s game, the former Oklahoma star had 41 receptions on 66 targets for 632 yards and four touchdowns. He has three 100-yard receiving games on the season.
