Mike Sainristill makes Terry McLaurin pay off bet after Michigan upset Ohio State
Mike Sainristill had some fun with Washington Commanders teammate Terry McLaurin in regards to the Michigan–Ohio State game.
Sainristill, who won a national title with the Wolverines last season, could regularly bask in the glow of beating Ohio State. It was the opposite for the former Buckeye, who didn’t lose to the Wolverines.
But since Michigan upset Ohio State Saturday, McLaurin had to pay off a bet to Sainristill following the Commanders’ 42-19 win over the Tennessee Titans.
Sainristill got to ask the first question during the postgame press conference and simply wanted McLaurin’s thoughts on “The Game.”
“I don’t have a lot of words right now Mike,” McLaurin said to Sainristill. “Hats off to y’all man. Y’all came in there and made the plays to win. We gotta find a way to come back next year and get the dub. But, I ain’t never lose. Yeah man, I’m still rocking with Ohio State but that was a tough one. Appreciate you but a bet’s a bet.”
McLaurin then held up a Michigan jersey. Spoiler alert, it belong to Sainristill. After losing three straight games to Michigan, Ohio State could not break the streak Saturday.

For the Commanders, they also lost three straight games going into Sunday. But Sainristill and McLaurin led the charge to break the streak and improve to 8-5.
Sainristill finished with seven tackles, including four solo. The rookie’s been a standout defensive back for Washington this season.
McLaurin had himself a day. The veteran pass catcher finished with eight catches for 73 yards and two touchdowns.
Michigan will await its bowl fate, Ohio State waits on College Football Playoff positioning and Sainristill and McLaurin are back in action next week in two weeks against the New Orleans Saints, following a bye.
