Minnesota Vikings, Christian Darrisaw agree to four-year, $113 million contract extension, per report
Minnesota Vikings left tackle Christian Darrisaw has agreed to a massive extension, per Tom Pelissero. Darrisaw has landed a four-year, $113 million extension, Pelissero reports.
Christian Darrisaw was drafted by the Vikings in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft. The 25-year-old starred at Virginia Tech before coming to the NFL.
Darrisaw appeared in 15 games for the Vikings last season — all starts. He has the task of keeping Minnesota’s quarterback of the future healthy in former Michigan star JJ McCarthy.
The Vikings selected McCarthy with the No. 10 overall pick in last year’s NFL draft.
As for Christian Darrisaw, he spent three seasons at Virginia Tech, before turning pro. The former first-team All-ACC selection has now received a huge pay day after performing well in the NFL.
Prior to coming to the National Football League, Darrisaw was rated as a three-star recruit, per the On3 Industry rankings.
He was a three-year starter at Virginia Tech, including starting all nine games he appeared in as a junior in 2020 before turning pro.

The No. 17 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft signed a four-year, fully guaranteed deal worth $15.76 million that includes a $8.28 million signing bonus and a fifth-year team option, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Shortly after the NFL Draft, Turner was listed as having the odds of 4-1 to win the Defensive Rookie of the Year Award this year, highest for any rookie.
Minnesota Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell is ready to see rookie edge rusher Dallas Turner become an impact player. While speaking to reporters during rookie minicamp on Friday, O’Connell detailed the plan for Turner in the Vikings’ defense.
“The big thing is learning the base way that we align, base way we want to play defense,” O’Connell said. “There are some newer things that all of our guys will be learning and getting on the field and doing together for the first time in a lot of ways when we get rolling.
“For Dallas, it’s just getting comfortable in that home position on the edge as an outside linebacker. And then from there, once he can kind of build that comfort, then you can begin to stress him snap in snap out where he’s lining up in some different spots doing some different jobs depending on down and distance, who else is he in the game with.”
