WATCH: Minnesota Vikings complete 33-point comeback over Indianapolis Colts, largest in NFL history
The Minnesota Vikings are no strangers to miracles and they pulled off another one on Saturday afternoon. After being down 33-0 to the Indianapolis Colts, a full comeback was completed and finished off with a game-winning field goal.
The 33-point comeback is the largest in NFL history and only the second time a team has ever won after trailing by at least 30 points. An important win for multiple reasons, Minnesota escapes and avoids an embarrassing loss at home.
Getting to overtime was impressive enough from the Vikings, especially since they did not have any help from the officials at times. Star running back Dalvin Cook came in clutch to tie the game, taking a screen pass into the endzone.
Fantasy owners going through the first round of playoffs were likely pleased as well.
On a day when NFL football is not usually paid, the first of three games delivered on a big stage. While there were times when it seemed as if the game was going to be a snoozer and done early, it turned about being one of the most exciting games of the year.

Minnesota Vikings win effects NFC playoff picture
If one team is unhappy with the Colts, it’s the Detroit Lions. There was just a small glimmer of hope remaining in the NFC North but the race is now over. Minnesota getting a win on Saturday officially locked up the division and sent them to the playoffs.
Seeding is still being fought for, as Minnesota only has three losses on the season. Philadelphia currently is atop the NFC, only having one loss. They hold the head-to-head tiebreaker as well.
The Vikings would need some uncharacteristic losses from the Eagles to have a real opportunity to have the No. 1 overall seed in the NFC. But at the very least, beating Indianapolis kept the dream alive.
