The stage is set for an exciting SEC clash in Week 14, with the Mississippi State Bulldogs traveling to Oxford to take on the Ole Miss Rebels in the Egg Bowl.

Historically, Ole Miss has the advantage over Mississippi State in the Egg Bowl. The Rebels record against the Bulldogs is 65-47-6, and they’re coming off a win in 2023’s iteration of the famed showdown.

The first time these two teams faced off was back in 1901. The Bulldogs shut-out the Rebels 17-0 in that one, a game played in Starkville. Ole Miss would return the favor the next season with a 21-0 win, showing how competitive the Egg Bowl would become between the two SEC programs.

While Mississippi State hasn’t had their best season, a win over Ole Miss where they spoil their lofty hopes would be a perfect end to the 2024 campaign for the Bulldogs. Can they get the job done? It remains to be seen, but that’s why they play the game. Don’t miss it.
