Report: Mo Bamba agrees to one-year deal with Los Angeles Clippers
Mo Bamba reportedly signed a one-year deal with the Los Angeles Clippers, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. He’ll return to LA after playing a brief stint with the Lakers at one point in his career.
“Free agent center Mo Bamba has agreed on a one-year deal with the Los Angeles Clippers, sources tell ESPN,” Wojnarowski wrote on Twitter.
Bamba played the 2023-24 season with the Philadelphia 76ers. He was drafted with the No. 6 overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft by the Orlando Magic.
Over the course of his career with the Magic, Lakers and Sixers, Bamba averages seven points per game, 5.5 rebounds per game, 0.9 assists per game, shoots 47.8% from the floor and 36.1% from three-point percentage.
While Bamba’s NBA career has been up and down, he was a solid player at Texas for one season in college.
He was Second-Team All-Big 12 in 2018 and named to the Big 12 All-Defensive Team that same year. Bamba was also on the Big 12 All-Newcomer Team after being a McDonald’s All-American in high school.
Mo Bamba joins Los Angeles Clippers in free agency
Bamba joins a Clippers team in 2024-25 that saw LA bring back Russell Westbrook, but lose Paul George to free agency.

The 35 year-old Westbrook has been in Los Angeles since 2021 when he played for the Lakers. He spent this past season with the Clippers and will remain in town.
The Lakers initially traded Westbrook to the Utah Jazz in February of 2023, but the team and Westbrook reached a buyout agreement.
After that, he signed with the Clippers, reuniting with George, whom he played with on the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The veterans in LA had a 51-31 record this past season, but Westbrook and company fell to the Dallas Mavericks in the first round.
Westbrook, a former UCLA star, is nine-time NBA All-Star and was the 2017 NBA MVP. Having played for the Thunder, Houston Rockets, Washington Wizards, Lakers and Clippers, Westbrook’s been around.
