Myles Garrett injury: Browns DE goes down in pain, exits game with eye issue vs. Chiefs
Cleveland Browns DE Myles Garrett suffered a curious injury around his face against the Kansas City Chiefs Sunday.
While trying to get by Chiefs’ tackle Joe Thuney, Garrett suddenly whipped back, grabbed his helmet, threw it off and appeared to injure his face or eye. At first glance, it could’ve been an eye poke, but it’s not clear what happened to the Browns’ star.
You can see the replay of the incident below.
Garrett later returned to the game with a new visor on his helmet and appeared fine. However, it’s still unclear what exactly caused the brief injury.
Despite the Browns’ struggles this season, Garrett’s turned in another great campaign. Coming into Sunday, he had 35 tackles, 11 sacks, three forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.
Garrett has been a positive force for Cleveland this season, despite posting a 3-10 record overall. After an epic 24-19 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers a couple of weeks ago, Cleveland’s lost two straight to Denver and Pittsburgh.
