Cleveland Browns’ defensive end Myles Garrett is a freak of nature. His combination of size, speed, and power is incredibly rare for the position. As a former number one overall pick in the NFL Draft, he’s able to pull off athletic stunts that are hard to believe. Like the video of him pulling off a 64-inch box jump. But, now he’s making a claim loftier than that jump.

If Garrett has things his way, he’s going to fulfill some incredibly lofty goals before his NFL career is done in Cleveland.

Garrett, an All-Pro pass rusher, wants to deliver a championship to Browns fans and become one of the greatest NFL defenders of all time.

“I’ve got my Kyrie and my Love?” Garrett asked rhetorically during an interview with Nate Ulrich of the Akron-Beacon Journal. “Well, hell, I have to prove that I’m LeBron first before anything. I have to prove that I’m the playmaker at all levels. Hell, he’s the top three in any debate that you have.”

That’s certainly setting the bar high, to say the least for Garrett and the Browns.

In the 2021 off-season, the Browns added Jadeveon Clowney and Malik Jackson to help take the Browns’ pass rush to even greater heights. and perhaps could be his Kyrie and Love.

Browns impressing in preseason

The Cleveland Browns enter the 2021 season with sky-high expectations with a roster loaded full of weapons to get excited about. They have also been looking sharp in the 2021 preseason.

They boast the best offensive line in the National Football League, according to PFF. Their offensive line is also the most expensive, but when a team can boast the best unit in the league, it’s money well spent.

Quarterback Baker Mayfield has a variety of weapons at his disposal, including former LSU teammates Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham, Jr.

While the Browns have been very cautious with Beckham in the preseason, he’s made the highlight reel catches in warm-ups that remind fans of his high-level form.

Myles Garrett prospect profile

Myles Garrett is one of the most highly touted football prospects of all time and he’s lived up to that lofty billing on every level of football he’s played. As a former five-star prospect coming out of Martin High School in Arlington, Texas, Garrett was one of the most dominant prospects in the 2014 recruiting class.

As a senior, he racked up 81 tackles, 19.5 tackles for loss, and 19 quarterback hurries. He also had three forced fumbles and four blocked kicks. The Texas native was named an Under Armour All-American.

When he enrolled at Texas A&M, the five-star didn’t disappoint there either. He became the ninth player in school history to earn unanimous first-team All-America honors in 2016. The uber-talented defensive end was also a finalist for the Bednarik and Rotary Lombardi Awards. He finished his highly decorated Texas A&M career with 145 total tackles, 48.5 tackles for loss, and 32.5 sacks.
