After an exhilarating Daytona 500 that survived that wrath of Mather Nature, this weekend brings the NASCAR Cup Series to Atlanta Motor Speedway.

William Bryon will be looking to make it 2-for-2 in 2024, and he’ll have a solid shot at doing so, as he won last season’s race at Atlanta in July. Meanwhile, Joey Logano was the winner in March of last season, so he’ll be looking to get back to Victory Lane in Hampton, Georgia on Sunday.

Additionally, there’s bound to be a huge contingent of Chase Elliott fans, as NASCAR returns to his home track this weekend. Time will tell who takes the checkered flag, but the odds for Sunday’s race have been released, courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook. Check them out below, and get excited for Sunday.

Denny Hamlin (+900)

The favorite this weekend is none other than Denny Hamlin, after he suffered an unfortunate fate at Daytona. The Joe Gibbs Racing wheelman got caught up in a huge wreck late in the race, after leading some laps in The Great American Race.

Throughout the season, Hamlin will be one of the favorites week-in and week-out, especially at tracks like Atlanta. The opportunity to get his first of potentially many wins in 2024 is large this weekend, but we’ll see if he’s able to get it done.

Chase Elliott (+1000)

A return home for Chase Elliott could be just what the doctor ordered. After a tumultuous 2023, a return to form at Atlanta would be an amazing story for the Hendrick Motorsports star.

The reigning recipient of the NASCAR Most Popular Driver award had a solid showing at Daytona, finishing P14. He’s more motivated than ever, and he’s yearning for that checkered flag. We’ll see if Elliott can get his career back on the right track in Georgia.

William Byron (+1000)

William Byron has become one of the faces of NASCAR over the last year and change, and the Daytona 500 helped solidify that. He’s on his media tour, becoming a household name at the moment, but it’s back to the grind on Sunday.

Thankfully, it’s at a track where the Hendrick star has found success in the past, capturing victory at Atlanta last summer. Perhaps Bryon can find some similar success in Hampton during the second week of the Cup Series season, and begin his season with back-to-back wins.

Ryan Blaney (+1000)

The reigning NASCAR Cup Series champion didn’t have a great speed week at Daytona. While Ryan Blaney is usually solid at the track, the Team Penske wheelman was caught up in wrecks during both his Duel race and the Daytona 500.

After coming home with a P30 finish during the first race of the season, Blaney will be looking to get his championship-defense back on the right track in Atlanta. He’ll be among the more popular drivers bettors look towards when the green-flag waves.

Joey Logano (+1200)

The two-time NASCAR champion captured the pole for the Daytona 500, and was upfront for seemingly the entire race until he was caught up in a wreck. Of course, Logano was unhappy afterwards, but that’s the way things go at Daytona.

Logano ended up P32, but Atlanta has been good to him in the past, as he was victorious at the track in 2023. Perhaps another win is in the cards for the No. 22 when the series returns to Hampton.

Christopher Bell (+1200)

Christopher Bell wasn’t satisfied with P3 in the Daytona 500, especially after winning his Duel race. However, the improvement in his super-speedway racing has been commendable, and he’s among the top choices for Atlanta this weekend.

During his Cup Series career, Bell has felt consistently overlooked. As the scheduled takes NASCAR to Georgia this weekend, we’ll see if the Joe Gibbs Racing wheelman can get his first victory of the season.

Brad Keselowski (+1200)

Brad Keselowski is surprisingly still looking for his first win in the No. 6, but he’s been running upfront over the last year. He came close at Atlanta last season, so perhaps this weekend could be an opportunity for the RFK Racing driver.

He had a shot at the Daytona 500, the big fish he’s never caught, but Keselowski was wrecked late in the game. Regardless, the motivation for that elusive win drives him, and it’s tough to see it not happening soon.

Kyle Busch (+1400)

After a blazing start to his time with Richard Childress Racing, Kyle Busch has found it hard to replicate the immense success the No. 8 team experienced during the first-half of 2023. However, he was strong during the Daytona 500, before getting caught up in a wreck.

A victory in The Great American Race continues to elude him, but Busch would take a win at Atlanta this weekend. He’s looking for his third NASCAR Cup Series title in 2024, and a win would get him one step closer to that goal.

Kyle Larson (+1400)

Kyle Larson has run strong at Atlanta in the past, as the entire Hendrick motorcade has over the last couple of seasons. After just missing out on a top-ten finish in the Daytona 500, he’ll be looking to continue to stay hot in Georgia.

There’ll be plenty of weekends where Larson is the odds-on favorite, but Daytona and Atlanta aren’t exactly his two best tracks. Still, he’s one of the most talented in the sport, so it makes sense he’s in the top-ten, as it pertains to pre-race odds.

Martin Truex Jr (+1600)

After coming home P15 in the Daytona 500, Martin Truex Jr. will be looking to get an early season victory at Atlanta. Truex Jr. has been in a bit of a funk since capturing the regular season title for the Cup Series in 2023, but a win would shake that off in short order.

The track isn’t your normal super-speedway, even if it races like one now. Truex Jr. has been looking for a win at that style of track, and after a solid showing in Daytona, a win could start another streak of dominance for the Joe Gibbs Racing star.
