The odds for the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series title have been updated following the exhilarating AdventHealth 400 at Kansas Speedway.

In the closest finish in NASCAR’s illustrious history, Kyle Larson edged Chris Buescher out at the line by 0.001 seconds. It was an incredible moment, and one that’ll likely live on for years to come, with Larson celebrating, while Buescher will be wondering what could’ve been if he was able to get to the line first.

Nevertheless, it won’t get any easier ahead of next weekend’s race at Darlington, and there’s a litany of drivers looking to clinch their spot in the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series playoffs. As the campaign moves forward, here are the full updated NASCAR Cup Series title odds, courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook.

Kyle Larson (+450)

Kyle Larson has been close to numerous wins throughout 2024, and he’s still managed to accumulate his fair share of trophies. By virtue of the closest finish in NASCAR Cup Series history, Larson won at Kansas, a highlight that’ll live on for generations.

Larson will have a chance to continue his winning ways this weekend. He won the last time the Cup Series traveled to Darlington, which was in the playoffs last fall.

Denny Hamlin (+500)

Everyone is talking about Kyle Larson and Chris Buescher’s battle for the win, but it was Denny Hamlin in the best position during most of the final stage. However, a late yellow and trouble on the final restart took the win away from him, but Hamlin will take a P5 finish.

Ahead of this weekend’s race at Darlington, it’s a track the No. 11 wheelman knows well. He didn’t run too great there in 2023, but Hamlin has four wins at the track, with the last one coming in 2021.

William Byron (+500)

William Byron had success at Kansas during previous seasons, but Sunday’s race wasn’t his strongest effort. The No. 24 finished P23 on the afternoon, a disappointing finish at a track where he’s usually strong.

Alas, a strong bounce-back could be on the way for the No. 24. He was the victor during last season’s spring race at Darlington, so Byron will be hoping to add another trophy to his list on Mother’s Day.

Christopher Bell (+700)

After some tough luck over the last month, Christopher Bell rebounded nicely at Kansas. The Joe Gibbs Racing wheelman was able to secure a P6 finish, as it looks like he’s finding his groove once again.

He’ll be looking for another strong performance at Darlington. Bell hasn’t run historically well there, only finishing in the top five once (fall 2022), so we’ll see if the No. 20 wheelman can turn his fortunes around in South Carolina.

Martin Truex Jr. (+1000)

Without the late restart that bunched up the field, Martin Truex Jr. looked like he was going to catch and pass Denny Hamlin for the win at Kansas. Instead, the No. 19 decided to take four tires on his final stop, starting him further back in the field, but Truex Jr. still salvaged a P4 finish.

He’s still looking for his first win of 2024, but Truex Jr. has won at Darlington twice, in 2016 and 2021. Some would say he’s more than due, and what better track to get back to victory lane at than this one.

Chase Elliott (+1000)

While Kyle Larson and Chris Buescher battled it out for the win, Chase Elliott was able to get to the podium at Kansas. The former NASCAR Cup Series champion came home P3, a strong evening for the Hendrick star.

Elliott’s never won at Darlington, but he’s come close on many occasions. He finished P8 and P3 at the track in 2023, so he’s run well the last couple of times the Cup Series has journeyed to the course.

Ryan Blaney (+1200)

It’s been far from smooth sailing for Ryan Blaney, and Ford as a whole, this season. Still, he’s managing to put up solid finishes, as he just missed a top ten at Kansas, finishing P12 on the evening in Kansas City.

Last season, Blaney finished P9 in both dates at Darlington. He’s only had three top tens in 14 tries at the track, so the history isn’t there. It’ll be up to the Team Penske wheelman to punch above his weight-class this weekend.

Tyler Reddick (+1400)

Tyler Reddick has proven to be among the elite in NASCAR, but Sunday’s race at Kansas was nothing to write home about. The No. 45 came home P20 on the afternoon, not a strong day at a track he usually runs well at.

Historically, Darlington has been a tremendous track for Reddick. He’s finished P2 twice, and P3 once in South Carolina. Perhaps that win that’s eluded him will come on Mother’s Day for the No. 45 wheelman.

As you can tell from FanDuel’s projections, Kyle Larson separated himself a bit from the pack after his win at Kansas Speedway, becoming the favorite. However, it’s been mostly a three-horse race between Larson, Denny Hamlin and William Byron all season, so we’ll see if that continues moving forward.
