As the dust settles on Super Bowl LIX, it’s time to turn our attention towards the beginning of the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season, and the Daytona 500.
The Great American Race, which serves as the season-opening extravaganza and the biggest race on the calendar for motorsports in America, will take place this coming Sunday, Feb. 16. With all of the hype building for the event, FanDuel Sportsbook has released betting lines for the entire field to get the win in Florida.
It’s a fool’s errand trying to predict the most unpredictable race on the schedule, but that’s why there’s money to be made on the Daytona 500. Last season, William Byron was victorious, but who will take the checkered flag this time around? Check out the full odds for each wheelman in the event below.
Kyle Busch (+1100)
When trying to predict a winner in the Daytona 500, perhaps finding the driver who wants the win the most is the best option. That’s a good way to explain Kyle Busch having the shortest odds at the moment, as the Harley J. Earl Trophy is one of the only accomplishments missing from his lengthy resume.
Last season, Busch came close to a win at Daytona, although it was the summer iteration of the Cup Series’ trip to the track. He was edged out by Harrison Burton. Maybe that’s the motivation that’ll propel him to his first Daytona 500 victory.
Denny Hamlin (+1200)
On the other side of the coin, Denny Hamlin’s career has been the opposite of Kyle Busch’s. Hamlin has multiple victories in the Daytona 500, but zero championships. Busch has multiple championships, but zero Daytona 500s. It’s an interesting comparison.
While a championship is the main goal for Hamlin in 2025, another Harley J. Earl Trophy wouldn’t be too shabby, as well. In his first official race with new crew chief Chris Gayle, it’d be a heck of a way to start their partnership.
Ryan Blaney (+1200)

Ryan Blaney has come close to winning the Harley J. Earl Trophy on multiple occasions. However, he’s always been a bridesmaid, never a bride, at least as it pertains to the Daytona 500 throughout his NASCAR Cup Series tenure.
Coming off a championship in 2023 and a runner-up finish to Joey Logano last season, Blaney is looking to continue establishing himself as one of the premier drivers in NASCAR. A victory in The Great American Race would do just that.
Joey Logano (+1300)
There isn’t much Joey Logano hasn’t done in NASCAR. Coming off his third Cup Series title, Logano already has a Harley J. Earl Trophy. He won the event in 2015.
He’s always dangerous on super-speedway tracks, and he’ll be expected to be a contender this coming weekend. Logano’s odds being on the shorter side for the 500 is far from a surprise, as he looks to start his crusade toward a fourth championship.

Chase Elliott (+1300)
Chase Elliott bounced back in a big way last season. He was arguably the most consistent driver in the Cup Series, but he found it hard to find Victory Lane, as he only won one race during the 2024 campaign.
An Elliott win during the Daytona 500 might not rival Dale Earnhardt Jr. winning The Great American Race, but it would certainly be the most popular result in the grandstands. We’ll see if he can get it done this weekend.
Brad Keselowski (+1400)
![Brad Keselowski](https://on3static.com/uploads/dev/assets/cms/2025/02/10140714/Brad-Keselowski-1024x512.jpg)
Similar to Kyle Busch, a Harley J. Earl Trophy is one of the only things missing from Brad Keselowski’s trophy case. He has a championship, and he’s flourishing as a driver-owner with RFK Racing. A win in Florida would be special.
He’s come close in the past, but Keselowski’s controversial drafting tactics make him a polarizing figure at tracks like Daytona. He’s a fascinating pick though, and always a potential winner when the Cup Series rolls into the super-speedway.
Kyle Larson (+1400)
Kyle Larson hasn’t always been a contender at super-speedway tracks. However, he’s certainly improved at the technique over the past couple of seasons, and he looks like he could truly compete for a win at a track like Daytona nowadays.
Perhaps this is the season he figures it out and gets to Victory Lane to start the season. He’s no stranger to the idea at a myriad of other tracks, and adding a victory at Daytona to his resume would continue to strengthen his case for being the best driver the series has to offer.
William Byron (+2000)
Last season’s Daytona 500 winner is among the top choices to repeat in 2025. William Byron returned the No. 24 to Victory Lane at Daytona in 2024, albeit on a Monday evening after rain forced NASCAR’s hand, and he’s hoping to keep the good times rolling for him at the track this weekend.
He’s made it to the Championship 4 in each of the last two seasons, but Byron has come up short both times. A victory on Sunday would lock him into the playoffs once again, and it’s anyone’s guess what happens after that. Just ask Joey Logano.
