NASCAR driver Ty Majeski wins ASA Stars Father's Day 100 at Milwaukee Mile
NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series regular Ty Majeski tore it up in the ASA STARS National Tour Father’s Day 100 at the Milwaukee Mile. A little bit of late-model action in the off-week never hurt anybody! Besides, Majeski is fighting for a title in the ASA series and has now grown his lead after a dominating day in Wisconsin.
The Father’s Day 100 at the Milwaukee Mile attracted plenty of talent. We saw a field that featured Ty Majeski, Carson Hocevar, North Wilkesboro winner Bubba Pollard, Sean Hingorani and William Sawalich from ARCA, and more.
Throughout the entire race, Majeski was excellent. He got his No. 91 Ford Fusion late model to the front and didn’t let up. When you can sweep the stages and take home the checkered flag at the end, that’s a good day of racing.
Ty Majeski was the big winner on Sunday. He was followed by Cole Butcher and Casey Roderick. Those two drivers earned podium spots above Carson Hocevar, a NASCAR Truck Series winner, and William Sawalich, the winner of the ARCA race at Berlin on Saturday night.
There is a ton of talent out there in the NASCAR field. There is also a ton of talent out there running local late model races week in and out and this race shows it. While Majeski won the race for the NASCAR regulars and hopefuls, some of those late-model drivers did their peers proud in this race.
Ty Majeski has had a bit of a challenging season in the Truck Series. So, this win might be just what he needs to right the ship. He is well on his way to an ASA championship as it stands.

Ty Majeski made a big mistake in last Truck Series race
The last time the Craftsman Truck Series lined up was at Gateway. The race was interesting. Zane Smith eventually got out to the lead and was fighting off the field. However, Ty Majeski was able to catch up and make a move on the leader.
Although Majeski and Smith both had fast Ford F-150s, neither would finish the race. The late race pass that Majeski tried to put on Zane did not go as planned. The two drivers ended up touching and both were wrecked out of the race.
Majeski said of the incident “inexcusable, misjudged it.” That likely didn’t help the defending Truck Series champion Zane Smith get over losing a race he should have won.
With a couple of weekends to think things over and go out and win a race at Milwaukee, maybe Ty Majeski has turned things around for the better. Majeski is second in the Truck Series standings and just one point off the leader Corey Heim. He has the most points of any driver without a win this season.
