NASCAR fans call out Fox broadcast during Cook Out Clash practice

The NASCAR Cook Out Clash at Bowman Gray is just getting started with practice and FOX is already having technical issues. There was a moment during the practice sessions when the graphics package went down and fans were left in the dark a bit.
As fans watched and kept up with the fastest times on the track, all of a sudden, they were left in the dark. Mike Joy noted the issues. Then, as you can expect, there were people who lost their minds online.
Look, folks, we’re all coming off of the offseason. After a short time, the graphics package was back up and fans at home were able to keep up with the action on track. There were other complaints as well, like the directing going on.
During practice, fans like this had calm and cool reactions:
Some fans are worried that this is more of the same from FOX. When you have new TV partners like TNT Sports and Prime Video, the issues are only amplified. Not to mention, the reputation of FOX hasn’t been the best in the last few years.
These fans definitely didn’t appreciate the absence of a leaderboard during the NASCAR Clash. However, FOX got things back up and going after a few minutes. At least, they were able to get it up before the final practice session, which serves as qualifying for the Heat Races tonight.
So, is this outrage earned? Are these fans victims of poor broadcasts past? While I can sympathize, there are technical issues with many live broadcasts. Let’s just hope they are smoothing it all out before tomorrow night.

NASCAR Clash at Bowman Gray brings history and present together
The LA Clash was about marketing NASCAR to a new audience with a new, never-done-before temporary track. The Clash at Bowman Gray is a nod to NASCAR’s history. Letting old-school fans know they haven’t been forgotten, and telling new fans what the sport is all about.
Short-track racing is the lifeblood of stock car racing. NASCAR wouldn’t be what it is today without these quarter-mile bullrings. This weekend, the Madhouse gets the spotlight and that is awesome for many reasons.
So far in the Modified race, we have seen a little extracurricular action. A middle finger or two. Could we see the same or even more from the Cup Series drivers? Bowman Gray is going to push everyone to their limits.
The NASCAR Clash is almost here. Practice and heat races tonight will set most of the field for Sunday. Tomorrow we have a Last Chance Qualifier and then the big show. The NASCAR season is finally here.
