Stage 2 isn’t even over and already NASCAR fans are tired of commercial breaks during the Toyota Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway. There are a lot of complaints about this being the final NASCAR race on Fox this season. Not a lot of talk about tire strategy and not a lot of battles being shown during the race – folks are starting to lose it online.

As fans tune into the road course race at Sonoma, they have been met with a bunch of ads. It makes the race hard to follow. This is a course where the field gets stretched out, to begin with. So, the constant breaks make it hard to know what is happening.

Already NASCAR fans are taking to Twitter to talk about the commercials. Not good as far as they are concerned.

Some fans are getting to the point where they don’t even want to watch the race anymore. TV commercials get the bills paid, but people tune in to watch the race. In an event like this, there needs to be a focus on showing off the little battles throughout the field. That has not happened much.

This feels like the same old story that we’ve heard time and time again this season. However, there might be one saving grace. Since this is the last Fox broadcast of the season, fans could look forward to a new product. NBC is usually preferred by many fans. Until next week, there will be more comments like this.

So, does anyone know what’s going on at Sonoma or are we all ready to buy GEICO insurance?

Denny Hamlin, Toyota strong during NASCAR commercials

In case you were able to catch a glimpse of the race, Denny Hamlin started out really strong. He was the pole sitter and went on to take the Stage 1 win. However, he had a teammate, Martin Truex Jr. who also had a fast car.

When Stage 2 came around, Truex Jr. was right there to take the lead. A three-time Sonoma winner, that No. 19 is dangerous. He could charge to the front and put himself in Victory Lane for the second time this season.

By the time Stage 2 came to an end, the tire strategy turned the field around a little bit. Kyle Busch was able to get to the front and take the win in the second stage. There are no stage breaks at road courses this season. So, they kept on going right into the final stage where they will battle over the course of 55 laps.

Can Toyota get the lead back from Busch and Joey Logano? Will Chase Elliott and Kyle Larson try to play spoiler?
