That was a heck of a race last weekend at Richmond, let’s do it again, shall we? The NASCAR Cup Series will move to Michigan International Speedway on Sunday, with the FireKeepers Casino 400 on the docket.
With the dust settling after Austin Dillon’s win, there’s a myriad of drivers who now face a scenario where they’ll have to win to make the playoffs in 2024. One of those wheelmen is RFK Racing’s Chris Buescher, who actually won last season’s trip to Michigan for the Cup Series.
Still, it won’t come easy, and there could always be a driver nobody expects to come through finding his way to Victory Lane, like Dillon at Richmond. Nevertheless, FanDuel Sportsbook has provided us with the full betting lines for Sunday’s race, so we can see who the true competitors are.
Denny Hamlin (+650)
![Denny Hamlin](https://on3static.com/uploads/dev/assets/cms/2024/07/23202506/HamlinDenny_240720_001_DinovoMike_USAT-1024x538.jpg)
Despite being wrecked coming to the checkered flag at Richmond on Sunday, Denny Hamlin still ended up the runner-up over the weekend. However, that didn’t do much to ease his troubles, as he’s been calling for Austin Dillon’s win to be taken away from him.
This weekend will mark Hamlin’s 34th race at Michigan. Over that time, he’s won at the track twice, but he’s run extremely well there overall, including not finishing below P12 since 2017 at the track.
Kyle Larson (+700)
![Kyle Larson](https://on3static.com/uploads/dev/assets/cms/2024/07/01122722/Kyle-Larson-1024x512.jpg)
Kyle Larson would’ve liked to welcome the Cup Series back to action the same way he left it, with a trip to Victory Lane. Nevertheless, the No. 5 wheelman wasn’t too disappointed with a solid P7 finish at Richmond.
When NASCAR returns to Michigan, it’ll be Larson’s 16th start at the track. He has 3 wins at Michigan, including winning three in a row back in 2016 and 2017.
Ryan Blaney (+850)
![Ryan Blaney](https://on3static.com/uploads/dev/assets/cms/2024/07/24143152/ryan-blaney-names-the-two-nascar-drivers-he-least-enjoys-racing-against-1024x538.jpg)
Ryan Blaney has been one of the more consistent wheelmen in the Cup Series this summer. He proved that once again at Richmond, as he brought his No. 12 Ford home P11 on the evening.
In 15 tries, Blaney has one win at Michigan. That came in 2021, so there’s reason to believe we could see the No. 12 in Victory Lane when the checkered flag waves on Sunday.
Tyler Reddick (+850)
![Tyler Reddick](https://on3static.com/uploads/dev/assets/cms/2024/07/22073807/Tyler-Reddick-3-1024x512.jpg)
While Tyler Reddick wasn’t directly involved with Austin Dillon coming to the line at Richmond, he has a past with his former Richard Childress Racing teammate. After the race, Reddick was unimpressed with Dillon’s driving, but it wasn’t all bad, as the No. 45 wheelman came home P3.
Over the course of his career, Reddick has only raced at Michigan five times. However, it’s been a borderline disaster each time, with his best finish coming in 2020, when he came home P18.
Christopher Bell (+1000)
![Christopher Bell](https://on3static.com/uploads/dev/assets/cms/2024/07/09132930/Christopher-Bell-1-1024x512.jpg)
Christopher Bell ended up with a solid finish at Richmond after the two-week break for NASCAR. The Joe Gibbs Racing wheelman came home P6 on the evening.

While Bell has become a threat to win at almost every track, Michigan hasn’t been too kind to the No. 20 wheelman. Bell finished P13 there three times in five tries, which isn’t too shabby, but he’ll be looking for a top ten this time around.
Martin Truex Jr. (+1000)
![Martin Truex Jr](https://on3static.com/uploads/dev/assets/cms/2024/07/09133248/Martin-Truex-1024x512.jpg)
Martin Truex Jr. was looking to avenge the perceived wrongdoing of Denny Hamlin from the first time the Cup Series went to Richmond this season, but it was to no avail, as the No. 19 came home dead-last in P37.
In what could be his 34th and final time at the track, Truex Jr. will be hoping to get a win and lock himself into the playoffs. He’s actually never won at the venue, but he did come home P2 last season at Michigan.
Brad Keselowski (+1100)
![Brad Keselowski](https://on3static.com/uploads/dev/assets/cms/2024/07/22132404/Keselowski-1024x512.jpg)
Brad Keselowski’s performance has tapered off a bit over the last month and change, but he’s still a threat to win week-in and week-out. At Richmond, he came home P16 when the dust settled.
The RFK Racing team owner/driver has raced at Michigan 26 times, but he’s still yet to win. Perhaps that can change, and he can capture win No. 2 in 2024 on Sunday afternoon.
Joey Logano (+1200)
![Logano](https://on3static.com/uploads/dev/assets/cms/2024/08/14070739/Logano-1024x512.jpg)
Nobody was more mad than Joey Logano with the way the Cook Out 400 came to a close. He looked to be headed towards his second win of the season, but he had to settle for P19 after being wrecked by Austin Dillon, the eventual winner.
This will be Logano’s 28th time racing at Michigan. The Team Penske wheelman has won at the track three times, so perhaps he’ll take out his anger with a trip to Victory Lane on Sunday.
