This weekend at Watkins Glen who will the odds favor? There is a lot of pressure on a handful of NASCAR drivers hoping to make the playoffs. Is this do-or-die for Chase Elliott as he returns to the track he earned his first-ever Cup Series win? And how does Las Vegas feel about his odds?

There are a lot of storylines to follow at Watkins Glen. The most interesting among them has to be the bubble battle between Bubba Wallace, Daniel Suárez, and of course, Elliott.

With all of the pressure and the playoff implications, it is interesting how Bet MGM views the race this week. Over the last two seasons, we have seen Kyle Larson win this race. He’s done it at the expense of Elliott both times, too.

However, this weekend Chase Elliott is the favorite. At 7-2 odds, and after his P2 finish at Indy, it appears bookmakers believe in the No. 9 team to get it done this time. However, Larson is just behind at 5-1 odds. With Elliott’s playoff hopes on the line, would Larson race him hard for a win this year as well?

Cup Series points leader Martin Truex Jr. is next in line at 13-2 odds. He won at Sonoma and can clinch the regular season title with a 56-point day at Watkins Glen.

Rounding out the top-5 is COTA winner Tyler Reddick. He has three road course wins in the last two seasons and is favored at 8-1 odds. Just behind him is Michael McDowell, fresh off his win at 10-1 odds. Is anyone feeling another win for Front Row and the fourth straight for Ford?

Watkins Glen odds for NASCAR bubble drivers

While Chase Elliott leads the Watkins Glen odds for the bubble drivers and the Cup Series overall, others on the bubble aren’t doing so well. However, don’t sleep on Daniel Suárez at 11-1 odds. He was third at Indy and will have another fast car on the road.

AJ Allmendinger has won at The Glen before. He’s at 12-1 odds. That would throw a huge curveball into the playoffs and would make more than a few teams upset if Kaulig Racing took the checkered flag.

Then, there is the rookie, Ty Gibbs. He’s had some fast cars, run in the top-5, and finished with some top-10s in his season so far. However, he’s looking for a win. With a proven road course background, Gibbs might throw his hat into the playoffs by the time the regular season ends.

Meanwhile, Bubba Wallace at 150-1 odds will try his best to points race and make the most of his day. If there are no surprises or new winners, then Wallace might just have what it takes to point his way in at Daytona. With his superspeedway background, he might even win the race.

Watkins Glen will set us up for the final showdown at Daytona.
