The NASCAR Chicago Street Race is almost here and the Grant Park 220 odds are out. Let’s take a look at the favorites for the weekend. Without any prior history on the streets, let alone downtown Chicago, NASCAR drivers will be tested to their limits. With walls on both sides and no runoffs, we could see this thing get messy.

Of course, with a brand new course, it is hard to imagine what will happen in this race. Then when you try and pin down the favorites for the event, it becomes even more difficult. We can look at road course results. Although even that doesn’t equate to a one-to-one.

The Chicago Street Race will be unlike any other. Perhaps that is why Bet MGM has four drivers tied as the favorite heading into the weekend. They are four strong competitors that have shown a knack for twists and turns on road courses. Will that be much help on the streets?

Tyler Reddick, Martin Truex Jr., Kyle Larson, and Chase Elliott are all entered at 7-1 odds. They are the favorites for the race. Qualifying will likely give one of these drivers an edge over the others before the green flag drops on Sunday.

Each of them has at least one win on a road course since 2022, except for Chase Elliott. However, the 2020 champion has seven total road course wins in his career.

Now that we know the favorites for the Chicago Street Race we can talk about some drivers further down the list. Coming off of his win at Nashville, Ross Chastain has some good odds heading into the Windy City.

Chastain is listed at 11-1 odds, along with AJ Allmendinger. To have the same odds as The Dinger shows how much Vegas believes in Chastain and his chances at pulling off the win. If it comes down to bumping and contact, Melon Man might have the edge there.

To tell you the truth, I’m looking further down the list. I’m looking at drivers like Christopher Bell and Chris Buescher. Both are strong on road courses. Both have shown that they can get wins when the odds are stacked against them. At 20-1 odds, I like Chris B and Christopher B.

The odds for the Chicago Street Race show that no one is confident. There aren’t many times you see four drivers favored heading into a race. When you look at the bottom of the field, the odds are only 800-1 for Andy Lally and others. Usually, we see those numbers around 2000-1 on an oval or traditional road course.

Who do you have coming out on top in the Grant Park 220?
