On Sunday, Christopher Bell became the first driver in the Next Gen era to win three races in a row and he might not be done. With the NASCAR Cup Series heading to Las Vegas, Homestead-Miami, and Martinsville in the next three weeks, the wins might keep piling up.

The most wins Christopher Bell has ever had in a season is three. He already has that one month into the season. So, moving forward, can we expect more wins?

We know that Bell is fast at Las Vegas. You can argue that he should have won the race last season. We also know that Homestead-Miami is likely going to be a three-man race between Kyle Larson, Tyler Reddick, and Bell.

Is it possible we see a five-race win streak from the 20 team? Jordan Bianchi of The Athletic doesn’t think it is out of the question.

“I’ll give you a hot take, like, and this is going to sound really outlandish,” Bianchi said on The Teardown after the race. “I look at this schedule, I think he’s the favorite at Vegas and then we got to Homestead where he’s really, really good. And then Martinsville and Darlington. I could make the case he could win five in a row.

“Which I know is crazy. Like, look at the schedule, dude! I’m not saying he’s going to but it’s not – if I said to you he could win five – looking at the schedule, the odds are minimal but the fact that he has a percent chance of doing it and you can talk yourself into it to some degree tells you one; how good he is, how good this team is and just where they’re at right now, and again this schedule sets up so well for them. If they don’t have like five, six wins by the 600 you’re probably gonna be like, you’re crazy, but that honestly should be the goal.”

Jordan Bianchi’s cohost Jeff Gluck does not believe that it is possible. He isn’t really taking much stock in these three wins.

“By the way, Christopher Bell is not even the points leader,” Gluck said to his Teardown cohost Jordan Bianchi. “So, if you’re talking about – William Byron is the points leader by 13. Despite, the guy that’s won three races is not the points leader right now, three out of the four races.”

Christopher Bell won those races. You can’t take that away. He has 16 playoff points and the next best driver is William Byron with six. But in a 38 week long season, is it too early to make grand conclusions? Yes, probably. That doesn’t mean the three wins have no meaning.

If we were sitting in a different world where Bell came up short it would be different. William Byron would have a win from Daytona still, but he would also likely have one from COTA. Kyle Busch could have won that COTA race under slightly different circumstances.

Then there is Atlanta – both Carson Hocevar and Kyle Larson were right there. Hocevar would be a surprise winner this season. Denny Hamlin doesn’t think that win means nothing. Hamlin fumed on the radio after coming up short on the final restart.

It’s early, but Christopher Bell is winning races left and right with no sign of stopping. The streak continues, for now.
