Kyle Larson has the ability to simply dominate a race during any given weekend in the NASCAR Cup Series, and that’s exactly what went down this past Sunday at the Charlotte Roval.

The No. 5 team closed out the Round of 12 with another victory, and now they’ll be looking to clinch their spot in the Championship 4 with a win at Las Vegas this weekend, a track where Larson excels. NASCAR insiders Jeff Gluck and Jordan Bianchi couldn’t help but heap praise on the Hendrick wheelman following his latest victory.

“I said this after Bristol, and I’m going to say it again, like, when this team is on, when they don’t make mistakes, when they aren’t having issues, they are so good. Good isn’t even the right word. Like, great. They are so great,” Bianchi said, via the latest episode of The Teardown. “It doesn’t matter the track. Whether it’s a mile and a half, a 2.5 mile flat-track like Indianapolis, you know, a roval, whatever this, you know, Frankenstein type track is, they’re just so good. Everywhere they have speed.

“They rarely have an off race where they just are out to lunch. You know, it’s like, ‘Oh my god, they’re gonna finish P20 today because they suck.’ Like, no, if they finish P20, it’s usually because they were involved in some kind of accident, or you know, some kind of mechanical failure or what. Like, to me, they are just so, so good. I never — after Bristol, we had the conversation, and I was like, ‘Man, I could see Kyle Larson just going on a run here.’ I don’t know if he would have won Kansas. I certainly think he would have been a factor at Kansas. Talladega is Talladega, but he wins here. Then you look at the rest of these races, and it’s like, if this team doesn’t shoot itself in the foot, which they have, and they do a lot, I just think they’re going to be so hard to beat, even with as deep of run as a field, I think, there is in this round.

“I could, you know, I feel like you could really make a legitimate case for five or six of these guys to win the championship. I really, really like Denny Hamlin. I really, really liked Denny Hamlin to win the championship. It’s just, Larson is so on that level of like man, if they’re clicking, they’re clicking, and that’s scary to me.”

Throughout the season, Kyle Larson has continually proven why he’s considered by many to be the best wheelman in the Cup Series, and his six wins and 13 top fives are proof of that. He’s easily the favorite for the championship in 2025, and it’ll be up to the No. 5 team to make good on their potential over the final four races of the season.
