NASCAR royalty Mark Martin has always been a staunch supporter of rap artist Gucci Mane, and now he can say he’s a collaborator, as well.

The 65-year-old may not seem like your normal hip-hop fan, but Martin’s ear for the genre has been highly publicized, as he’s shared his love for rap, especially the music of Gucci Mane, over the last decade or so.

However, an interview he did earlier this year during an appearance on Barstool Sports’ Rubbin’ is Racing shed a new light on his connection to his favorite music. Perhaps it’s what pushed Gucci Mane to include Martin in his new album Greatest Of All Trappers (Gangsta Grillz Edition).

On the song GOAT, which opens up the 12-track album, a snippet from the interview in which Martin raves about Gucci Mane can be heard. Check it out below, and listen for yourself, as the Rubbin’ is Racing social media account shared it to X.

While Martin isn’t going to get into the booth and drop a verse, this was an awesome way for Gucci Mane to include one of his biggest fans in his new album. Of course, Martin appreciated it, and he even likened it to his NASCAR career when he heard the song on Friday morning.

“I may not have ever won a Cup Championship BUT I made on GOAT @gucci1017⁩ song,” Martin posted on X, showing his elation for being included on the album.

Over the course of his NASCAR career, Martin has accumulated 40 victories, and being included on Gucci Mane’s album must feel like No. 41 for the former wheelman. Perhaps it’s even better, as he likened it to the championship that eluded him throughout his Cup Series career.

Regardless, Martin was and remains one of the more beloved drivers to ever race in the NASCAR Cup Series. His personality and driving-style endeared him to multiple generations of fans, and now he may be entering his second act in the musical world.

At the least, we’re going to need to see Martin pop out at a Gucci Mane concert in Atlanta one of these days. The artist needs his biggest fan with him on whatever tour he goes on next, as it’ll be a must see collaboration if it happens.

There was a ton of drama in the NASCAR Cup Series due to last weekend’s race at Richmond, but Mark Martin might be the talk of the garage moving forward into Michigan this weekend, as he can now say he was featured on a Gucci Mane song. That isn’t something anyone else in NASCAR can do.
