A new season a a bunch of new NASCAR paint schemes. This week for the Busch Light Clash there are a lot of great looks in the field. Paint schemes are to NASCAR what shoes are to basketball, they can be more than just a tool, but an expression of the athlete and their team.

The Busch Light Clash is our first chance to see a lot of new primary paint schemes. Some of these are going to be seen throughout the season, others are special one-offs. There is a good mix of new sponsors, classic sponsors, and even returning sponsors for the sport.

So, we’ve picked through the Cup Series field to find the top-five NASCAR paint schemes this weekend. Rain and bad weather are threatening the main event on Sunday but let’s hope that stays away.

Ross Chastain – Busch Light Chevrolet

The Melon Man is now the Busch Light driver. Ross Chastain is going to look so great in this blue and white Busch car throughout the season. It is different from the Kevin Harvick designs, and it screams “Trackhouse Racing!”

This is easily one of my early favorites for paint scheme of the year. 10/10 I have no critiques.

Chase Elliott – NAPA Auto Parts Chevrolet

While Chase Elliott will don the NAPA Auto Parts colors throughout the year, this white look is so good. It comes complete with the blue and white details on the sides, and then a huge yellow NAPA logo on the hood.

It is simple, clean, and one of Elliott’s best alternatives in some time. 9/10 and not much to do that would improve it.

Christopher Bell – Mobil 1 Toyota

Toyota is getting major sponsorship from Mobil 1 this season. From sprint cars all the way through ARCA and NASCAR. Christopher Bell shows off the first Camry XSE design for the Cup Series. I can’t get enough of this look.

Starting the year off right with the new sponsor at the Busch Light Clash. 8/10, my only complaint is the design is a little flat, but will likely pop more on the track in person.

Tyler Reddick – Jordan Brand Toyota

My favorite NASCAR sponsor and paint scheme, Jordan Brand, is kicking off the season with Tyler Reddick this year. Last season, they unleashed a ton of Jordan schemes.

The fact that this year is starting with one leads me to believe we will see a lot of these this year. Thank goodness. 10/10, the cement Air Jordan 4 design is iconic. Enough said.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. – Cheerios Chevrolet

I told you we had sponsors making their return to NASCAR and this paint scheme is nostalgic and fun. General Mills and Cheerios are back!

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. has brought consumer products to NASCAR unlike any other driver in the last two years. Cheerios is even bringing back Happy Heart Shapes!
