It is a tripleheader weekend for NASCAR as the national series head to Austin, Texas to get weird with some road course racing at COTA. We have some very fun paint schemes to go through as well.

NASCAR at COTA, it’s starting to become a destination for non-NASCAR drivers to give the sport a shot. We have seen IMSA, F1, IndyCar, and other drivers make the move to stock car racing, at least for one race, at this track.

Most notably, Kamui Kobayashi is back with 23XI Racing. This time he’s at a track he is familiar with and hopes to pull off a great finish in the Cup Series. The EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix is going to be our first taste of road course action this season, let’s get into the best looks.

Josh Berry No. 4 Overstock.com Ford

Last week at Bristol, Josh Berry got to lead laps and flex his speed a little bit. This week he might not have as strong of a performance, but who knows?

I like this Overstock.com look because it’s shiny and simple. Enough white to make it interesting and pelasing to look at. 7.5/10.

Brad Keselowski No. 6 Castrol 125 Years Ford

This image doesn’t do the paint scheme justice. Brad Keselowski is rocking the green chrome number for NASCAR weekend at COTA and I love it.

Castrol won’t let the 50-year anniversary of Mobil 1 overshadow their 125-year celebration. Good alternate scheme for Castrol. 8.5/10.

Chase Elliott No. 9 NAPA Auto Parts Chevy

Now, this paint scheme has already appeared on one of our lists this year. I don’t care though, because I enjoy it so much.

Chase Elliott doesn’t have the best paint schemes year in and out. This one, I really like and think NAPA should get creative more often with these designs. 8.5/10.

Kaz Grala No. 15 N29 Capital Partners Ford

N29 Capital has some plain schemes, to put it nicely. Kaz Grala is doing his thing in the No. 15 car and had a strong run at Bristol last season. Rick Ware Racing is slowly improving, but they are improving.

I like this paint scheme because it is more creative than the usual N29 look. The red racing stripes add 10 horsepower, too. Nice mix of black, white, and red. 7.5/10.

Shane van Gisbergen No. 16 WeatherTech Chevy

This is our first look at Shane van Gisbergen this Cup Series season. When NASCAR hits the track at COTA he is going to be one of the favorites with his road course prowess.

I think the lack of track limits will take SVG’s innate advantage away from him a bit. Still, he will be in this one the whole way and this WeatherTech Chevy is great. 8/10.

Bubba Wallace No. 23 Mobil 1 Toyota

Now, Bubba Wallace isn’t the only Mobil 1 driver this weekend. We will get to that in a second. Still, this is a really great look for 23XI Racing.

Toyota really hit it out of the park with their Mobil 1 paint schemes so far this year. I look forward to seeing more of them as the season goes on. 8/10.

Kamui Kobayashi No. 50 Mobil 1 50th Anniversary Toyota

Now this is the car we were all waiting for. Kamui Kobayashi, who has been impressive in sim practice, will pilot the third car for 23XI Racing this weekend in the No. 50 car.

No, The Money Team Racing isn’t gone, they are just loaning this number to 23XI for this special Mobil 1 promotion. Great car, best one of the week. 9/10.

Timmy Hill No. 66 Amptricity Ford

Timmy Hill returns to the Cup Series! MBM Motorsports is back and they are hoping that Hill can deliver them a solid finish on Sunday.

This is a fun-looking car, and has an interesting sponsor. Amptricity is a battery storage company, think solar panels and other energy solutions. 8/10.
