The NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs are headed to Watkins Glen International for the second race of the Round of 16 and we have paint schemes. Time to go left AND right and possibly get another driver into the Round of 12.

Watkins Glen International has been host to a number of iconic moments in NASCAR. It is one of the old-school road courses on the circuit. There will also be a number of interesting paint schemes on the track this Sunday.

A new aggressive tire promises to produce as much as three seconds of fall-off. Will that make the racing more compelling? Are we going to see some of these great paint schemes crumpled up by the end of the race?

Austin Cindric No. 2 Autotrader Ford

Last week, Joey Logano got a win in the Autotrader Ford, will Austin Cindric get the job done this weekend? Cindric is a strong road course racer but hasn’t shown it recently.

It would be great to see him have a performance like he used to have in the Xfinity Series. At least you will be able to see him on the track. 8/10.

Josh Berry/Noah Gragson No. 4/10 Bed Bath & Beyond Ford

Both Josh Berry and Noah Gragson are once again sharing a paint scheme this week. Both the 4 and 10 cars will be sporting Bed Bath & Beyond.

Admittedly, when I think of Bed Bath & Beyond I think of Adam Sandler’s Click. If one of these drivers win on Sunday, then one of these guys needs to be checked for that remote from the movie. 7.5/10.

AJ Allmendinger No. 13 Go Bowling Chevy

This is a driver and car that could end up in Victory Lane and upset the playoff field. AJ Allmendinger has taken a backseat to his teammate Shane van Gisbergen this season.

Even though he has taken a step back, Allmendinger is always dangerous on these road courses. Is this the week where The Dinger steps up and gets back to his winning ways?

Todd Gilliland No. 38 Boozy Jerky Ford

I’m not quite sure I understand this sponsor. Boozy Jerky is a new participant in NASCAR. Todd Gilliland will try to give them a solid debut.

While I’m confused by this product, the paint scheme is solid. It catches the eye and fans will probably be into whatever this beef jerky is made of. 8/10.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. No. 47 Kroger/Old El Paso Chevy

A big yellow car with Old El Paso on the side? Ricky Stenhouse Jr. is bringing a fun No. 47 paint scheme to the NASCAR race at Watkins Glen.

This is a great partnership that will apparently end after this season. Let’s enjoy these paint schemes while we can. 8.5/10.

Ty Gibbs No. 54 CW Sports Toyota

The CW is going to air the entirety of the NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoffs. Ty Gibbs is raising awareness this week with his paint scheme.

Orange and black, perfect for the upcoming Halloween season. This is a great paint scheme and might be my favorite of the week. 9/10.

Carson Hocevar No. 77 Mattress Warehouse Chevy

Image via NASCAR.com

This is a great paint scheme and it has a throwback feel. Mattress Warehouse went simple and it is so much better off for doing so.

Carson Hocevar is battling Josh Berry for Rookie of the Year. This paint scheme would win it for him if it were up to me. 9/10.
