NASCAR Paint Schemes of the Week: Great American Getaway 400 at Pocono
It is time to get Tricky! Pocono Raceway and the Tricky Triangle await our NASCAR Cup Series drivers this weekend. There are some solid paint schemes this week, and some that have appeared on the list before.
Not a ton of new paint schemes this week. However, we have just enough to make it interesting. The Great American Getaway 400 is going to be a fun race. Pocono puts on great NASCAR races, and a lot of strategy comes into play.
Let’s get into the designs and give them each a grade on a scale of 10. What is the criteria? Vibes.
Corey LaJoie No. 7 Parity in Paris Chevy
This week, Corey LaJoie is carrying the Parity in Paris colors. This interesting sponsor and scheme highlights the fact that there will be an equal number of male and female athletes at the Paris Olympics.
LaJoie is hoping to have a championship performance on Sunday. He could use a solid run this weekend, very artsy scheme. 7.5/10.
Denny Hamlin No. 11 Mavis Tire Toyota
Mavis Tire is coming to Pocono Raceway with an honorary paint scheme. A matte black look with the Mavis colors for Denny Hamlin, celebrating his record-breaking win last year at this race.
No one in NASCAR has won as many Cup races at Pocono as Hamlin. Two years in a row, he has won this race with a cheeky move on Ross Chastain and then Kyle Larson into the wall. 9/10. Embracing the Dark Side, love it.
Ryan Blaney No. 12 Wabash Ford
Wabash is on the No. 12 car this week. Ryan Blaney just attended the ESPYs, although he lost out on Best Driver to F1’s Max Verstappen. But he gets to be on this paint schemes list!
Blaney has been quietly putting together solid runs. He could use another top-5 or even a win this weekend to solidify himself as a championship contender. The Wabash blue with the yellow borders is great. 8/10.
Michael McDowell No. 34 GUNK Ford
Another new sponsor for Front Row Motorsports and the No. 34 Ford Mustang Dark Horse. Michael McDowell is hoping to get a strong run as the regular season comes to an end.
He is more or less in must-win territory. McDowell has a funky car, I like it. 7.5/10.
Todd Gilliland No. 38 C.H. REED Ford
C.H. REED on board the No. 38. Front Row Motorsports doesn’t have the flashiest paint schemes, but they are solid. I think they look clean and they represent the sponsor well.

Todd Gilliland is a driver on the rise. Keep an eye out for him for the rest of the season and especially in 2025 as he becomes the flagship driver for FRM. 7.5/10.
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. No. 47 Sugarlands Sippin’ Cream Chevy
Sugarlands Sippin’ Cream can be a real treat if you’re into these kinds of drinks. Ricky Stenhouse Jr.’s car makes them look pretty good, to be honest.
These wraps from JTG Daugherty are a style all their own. More or less a billboard driving at 180 MPH. 8/10.
Alex Bowman No. 48 Ally Best Friends Chevy
The Chicago Street Race winner is coming to Pocono with a few friends, his Best Friends. Ally and Best Friends are back, there is a dog park in the infield once again, and they are covering pet adoptions nationwide this weekend.
Alex Bowman could be on a heater. Let’s see if he parlays his success last week into more this week. 8.5/10.
Justin Haley No. 51 Walmart Health & Wellness Ford
There have been great moments from Justin Haley and Rick Ware Racing this year. He is back with Walmart this week and I love that for him, that’s a major sponsor.
The blue and yellow are iconic and fans know this car when they see it at this point, I think. Haley is another driver to watch for 2025. 8/10.
