There is a big debut and a major return all in one team this weekend in the NASCAR Cup Series race at COTA. Trackhouse Racing is fielding a car for Connor Zilisch, the 18-year-old phenom. He will carry Red Bull as his sponsor, marking the sponsor’s official return to the sport.

The action on the track is only matched by these great paint schemes we have this week. Trackhouse had a couple of special schemes for the week. There are a few that we will see multiple times this season, and a good mix of manufacturers as well.

Eight cars this week for the NASCAR Cup Series paint schemes of the week for COTA. Let’s get into them.

Ross Chastain No. 1 Busch Light Texas Chevy

How about Busch Light and Trackhouse Racing pulling out the stops for Ross Chastain? This Lone Star design is awesome and matches the energy of Austin, Texas perfectly.

Chastain has an average finish of P4 at COTA with one win. He will be one to watch along with his teammates. 9.5/10.

Brad Keselowski No. 6 Castrol Ford

Now, if we’re honest, Brad Keselowski is not going to win the race. However, his Castrol Ford is badass. I love this new design for 2025.

While Keselowski likely won’t win the race, his teammate Chris Buescher might have a shot. In his home state no less, too. RFK Racing bringing a great piece to the track for the No. 6 team. 8/10.

Kyle Busch No. 8 Rebel Bourbon Chevy

A different take on the Rebel Bourbon Chevy this year. Kyle Busch and Richard Childress Racing are hoping to have a good NASCAR weekend at COTA.

Busch seems to perform well at COTA. Getting stage points and a top-10 finish would go a long way to help the confidence of this team. 7.5/10.

Josh Berry No. 21 Freightliner Ford

Maybe not my favorite Josh Berry paint scheme but still interesting enough. Not seeing the Wood Brothers 21 in white and red is always strange.

Berry had a great race going at Atlanta until he was wrecked out on the last lap. Perhaps his fortunes will start to turn this week. 7/10.

Bubba Wallace No. 23 Mobil 1 Toyota

These Mobil 1 Toyotas are fantastic-looking cars. Bubba Wallace is bringing a hot piece to the NASCAR race at COTA.

Could we see a strong run from Wallace at COTA? Don’t count out a top-15 finish or maybe even a top-10 depending on how cautions fall and the race itself plays out. 8.5/10.

Riley Herbst No. 35 Chumba Casino Toyota

This is a new sponsor for 23XI Racing and Riley Herbst is debuting it. Chumba Casino, not sure what that is, makes me think of Chumbawamba and “Tubthumping.”

Funny name aside, this is a good-looking race car. These colors will pop under the Texas sun. 8/10.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. No. 47 Rate Chevy

Once again we have Ricky Stenhouse Jr. on the list this week. Rate is on the No. 47 Hyak Motorsports Chevy this weekend.

Stenhouse Jr. will likely be a nonfactor in the race. But he will have a very recognizable race car while he’s riding around COTA.

Connor Zilisch No. 87 Red Bull Chevy

Finally, making the big NASCAR debut at COTA – Connor Zilisch and Red Bull. I think this is a major nod to Zilisch being not only the future of Trackhouse but of the Red Bull NASCAR brand.

Should the energy drink be in the sport for the long haul, Zilisch is the guy they are going with. How will he do in his Cup Series debut? 10/10 car it’s perfect.
