NASCAR Paint Schemes of the Week: Xfinity 500 at Martinsville Speedway
Two more weeks remain in the NASCAR season and that means Martinsville Speedway this weekend. Who will make the Championship 4? More importantly, who will have the best-looking car on the track?
When NASCAR made Martinsville the penultimate race of the season, it was a fantastic decision. Even with the poor short-track package, we have seen some wild finishes at this track and some fun races.
Of course, we can never forget the Hail Melon from Ross Chastain. That same race, Christopher Bell earned a walk-off win. Last year, Ryan Blaney won his way to Phoenix with a checkered flag at the Paperclip. Who will we be talking about after this Sunday’s race?
Ross Chastain No. 1 Moose Fraternity Chevy
Speaking of the Hail Melon, you know Ross Chastain had to bring back Moose Fraternity for this race. Chastain doesn’t have a lot to race for other than the trophy and grandfather clock, but that is likely enough.
Chastain loves to play spoiler. He won at Kansas earlier in the playoffs. Can he do it again? 9/10 for the history.
Justin Haley Optic Gaming/Gainbridge Sport Chevy
Very cool paint scheme for Halloween weekend. Gainbridge Sport and Optic Gaming are teaming up to bring Justin Haley a badass race car.
Green flames on a black car – that’s awesome no matter who you are. This will be a fun one to watch on Sunday. 9.5/10.
Chase Briscoe No. 14 Mahindra Tractors Ford
Big red tractor is coming through, this time with a ton of mud on the rockers. Chase Briscoe and Mahindra are back together once again.
I do love this design with the mud and the tractor tire design over the rear wheels. These tractor wars are a not very talked about subject, but they interest me. 8/10.
Bubba Wallace No. 23 Xfinity Toyota
This year, Bubba Wallace is putting 500 fans on his Xfinity paint scheme for the NASCAR Cup Series race at Martinsville. 23XI Racing fans were able to submit selfies earlier this season for this fun design.
Wallace has a special place in his heart for Martinsville. He won there twice in the Truck Series. He has slowly been improving in the Cup Series at the track as well. 8.5/10.

Daniel Hemric No. 31 High Point Paint Services Chevy
Daniel Hemric has not been a world-beater by any means, but he has done his best. He keeps his car clean and brings sponsors, sometimes that’s what a team needs from a driver.
Hemric is going to have this colorful paint scheme at Martinsville. Should look nice on the track Sunday. 7.5/10.
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. No. 47 Colgate/Philadelphia Whipped Chevy
Now this might be my underrated scheme of the NASCAR weekend at Martinsville. The red and blue, a touch of white and the yellow 47 – this is a great looking car.
I’m not sure what toothpaste and whipped cream cheese topping have in common, but it makes for an eye-pleasing car. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. has had a solid last few weeks. 9/10.
Josh Bilicki No. 66 2ONE Pouches Ford
Another nicotine pouch company? Say it ain’t so! Jokes aside, 2ONE (pronounced twenty-one) is on board with Josh Bilicki.
2ONE will also be on the 66 car at Phoenix. New sponsors in the sport are always welcomed. 8/10.
Daniel Suárez No. 99 Jockey Outdoors Chevy
It is flannel season, folks! Jockey Outdoors by Luke Bryan is here to remind us of that this week. Daniel Suárez will be cozy on this fall weekend.
Will Suárez be decked out in a flannel firesuit? That remains to be seen, but it’d be pretty cool if he was. 8.5/10.
