NASCAR playoff standings, Cup points updated after Ambetter Health 400 at Atlanta Motor Speedway

The NASCAR playoff standings and overall Cup Series points have been updated following the Ambetter Health 400 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
It was a wild race from start to finish, and when it was all said and done, Christoper Bell came out on top at Atlanta to win his first race of the Cup Series season. It was a controversial finish as NASCAR declared Bell the winner when he was leading the race during a caution in overtime.
With the win, Bell moves up in the playoff standings as he and William Bryon are the first two winners this season. Here’s a look at the updated NASCAR playoff standings and Cup points after the Atlanta race.

Byron and Bell are locked into the playoffs with their victories this year. Ryan Blaney is not far behind in the playoff standings since he’s the overall points leader, and the rest of the field is looking to make some moves.

One driver to watch is Carson Hoecevar. With his second-place finish on Sunday, Hocevar would make the playoffs if it began today. The first four out are Erik Jones, Riley Herbst, Ty Dillon and Austin Dillon.

Updated overall NASCAR Cup points after Atlanta

Despite not winning a race yet this year, Blaney has a strong lead in the points standings. Byron and Tyler Reddick and battling for second place, and Austin Cindric is holding down fourth place after a strong showing in the first two races.
A driver to watch here is Bubba Wallace. After a tough final stretch at Daytona, Wallace showed he’s ready to take the next step with a top-10 finish at Atlanta. He’s holding down fifth place with 64 points.
