The NASCAR Cup Series playoff standings and Cup points have been updated following their awesome debut at Iowa Speedway on Sunday evening.

It looked like Kyle Larson was on his way to his fourth win of the season, but contact with Daniel Suarez sent him into the wall, opening up the race for the rest of the field. Taking full advantage was Ryan Blaney, as the reigning NASCAR Cup Series champion was able to capture his first win of 2024.

Of course, Larson’s wreck, coupled with some other huge results, has dramatically changed the standings for the Cup Series. Check out all the differences below, as Blaney has officially locked himself into the playoffs, giving himself an opportunity to repeat as the Cup Series’ champion.

As you can tell, there’s a ton that could change over the course of the summer as it pertains to the NASCAR Cup Series standings, but the results at Iowa Speedway have shaken up the field pretty well. It’ll be interesting to see which drivers get back on track at New Hampshire, and if a surprise winner can change everything moving forward.
