Mother Nature had her way with the NASCAR Cup Series on Sunday at Michigan International Speedway, but that just meant racing fans around the world had a much more exciting start to their week on Monday.
With his second victory of the season, Tyler Reddick was able to get to Victory Lane at the end of the FireKeepers Casino 400. It wasn’t without drama, as a Martin Truex Jr. wreck brought the race to overtime, but Reddick was able to keep William Byron and Ty Gibbs at bay on the final restarts.
Should Reddick have more than two wins on the season? Probably, but he’s now one of six drivers with multiple wins in 2024. That’s an accomplishment in its own right. Check out where the No. 45 wheelman, and the rest of the field, stand after Michigan on Monday.

With the win, Reddick was catapulted to P5 in the playoff standings, ahead of Ryan Blaney, who also has two wins on the season. As for the bubble, Ross Chastain is only one point ahead of Reddick’s teammate Bubba Wallace with two races remaining until the playoffs, and anything can happen at Daytona and Darlington.

As you can tell, Tyler Reddick re-established himself as a Cup Series title contender with his victory during the FireKeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Raceway. The race left a bit to be desired for some, like Kyle Larson, Ross Chastain and Bubba Wallace, but the latter two will have their chance to lock themselves into the playoffs over the next two weeks.
