The NASCAR Cup Series playoff point standings have been updated following Tyler Reddick’s victory in Sunday’s Straight Talk Wireless 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Reddick will be joining Joey Logano in the Championship 4 at Phoenix on Nov. 10. With just one race remaining until then, Christopher Bell, who finished fourth at Homestead, is 29 points clear of the cutline. William Byron came away with a P6 result and finds himself seven points above.

If there’s a driver who’s kicking himself after this one, it’s Blaney. The reigning Cup Series champion had the lead on the final lap with a Championship 4 berth in sight. But Reddick got a run for the ages coming off Turns 3 and 4, and made it stick up top as he made the race-winning pass.

“Obvious disappointment,” Blaney told NBC Sports after the race. “I didn’t have a very good last lap. I hate to give one away like that … I don’t know if we gave it away, the last lap just didn’t play out the way we needed it.”

The same can be said for Hamlin, who passed Reddick for the lead off the final restart. At one point, it looked like his race to win, but Blaney and Reddick had other plans. Both passed Hamlin in the final two laps, leaving him with work to do heading into next Sunday’s race at Martinsville, the Round of 8 finale.

“Well, I’m not really sure. I try to cover all lanes but just couldn’t quite get off the corner as good as I needed to there on that short run,” Hamlin said of the closing laps. “And um, short run wasn’t my specialty all day obviously. But either way, you know, controlling the race two to go, you got to try to find a way to finish it and uh, just didn’t.”
