NASCAR insider has one issue with the 2025 schedule
NASCAR released its schedule in late August after a delay. There were some changes to the playoff schedule in terms of different tracks being added in, but Jeff Gluck, NASCAR insider for The Athletic, wanted the championship race to be moved from Phoenix to Homestead.
“I’d like to make a plea, Jordan,” Gluck said to his cohost on The Teardown. “NASCAR, you just saw this race, you just saw how good it was. I know you’ve announced the schedule for next year, I know Phoenix you’ve already said is the championship race. I know you’ve already taken this race, Homestead, out of the playoffs, and moved it to the spring. But it’s not too late to do the right thing. It’s never too late to do the right thing. If NASCAR came out and said, ‘You know what, we thought more about it. We reconsidered, I know this is crazy since we already announced the schedule. But we’re going to put Homestead as the championship race next year. We’re going to redo things, we’re going to move things around,’ however it is.”
