With an on-track incident bringing out the red flag during the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Atlanta, Kyle Busch was not having fun. It isn’t every day that you see safety truck blow the EZ/sand/kitty litter used to clean the track into the actual race vehicles.

Kyle Busch was sitting in the lead when the caution came out. So, he was sitting on the track out front of the field when the red flag was out.

As the jet dryers came by to blow the kitty litter off the track that soaked up the fluids, drivers were the biggest victims. Kyle Busch and the field were blasted by sand.

Rowdy had a great response on the radio. Jeff Gluck of The Athletic reported on Busch’s radio chatter. “I’ve never owned a cat, and I can see why.”

This all started when Rajah Caruth cut a tire and his truck broke on him. Before he could even react, the 71 truck was getting his by trucks behind it and then multiple trucks were wrecking. William Sawalich was caught up in the wreck as well.

As for Kyle Busch and the others, the goal remains the same, despite all of the sand. There might be a little more grit in the drivers’ teeth after all of that but the action on track is going to be excellent.

Busch is the defending winner of this race. He has plans to make it back to back, but it won’t be so easy. Ben Rhodes and other Truck Series regulars want to beat the Cup Series legend.

Kyle Busch has four more Truck Series races on schedule

This season, Kyle Busch is going to take on five total Truck Series races. Those are as many as NASCAR will allow him to race in the Truck and Xfinity Series. He has races at Charlotte, Nashville, North Wilkesboro, and Watkins Glen.

With 66 wins to his name in the series, Busch is planning on adding more to that total. Possibly even surpassing 70 wins?

“My schedule will consist of some tracks where I’ve had a lot of success in the Truck Series, like Atlanta, Charlotte, and Nashville but also two tracks that I’ve never raced at in a truck – North Wilkesboro and Watkins Glen,” Busch said. “So, I’m looking forward to hopefully adding a couple more tracks to the list of places where I’ve won across my Truck Series career.”
