It is terrifying when a racecar or truck hits a crew member. It is insanely difficult for these crew members on these pit stops as cars and trucks speed through. Accidents do happen, and that’s why there is safety equipment in place.
Let’s hope that this is precautionary and not anything serious. The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series confirmed that the crew member was taken to the hospital for further evaluation.
Memphis Villarreal is driving for RBR today in the 33 truck. The NASCAR race continues at Homestead.
NASCAR weekend at Homestead. The Truck Series is the first race of the weekend and this is disappointing news, at the very least. It makes it even more unfortunate when you realize this is the second straight Truck Series race where a crew member was hit by a truck.
Zane Smith hit one of his own crew members after sliding on pit road at Talladega. While it looked bad, that crew member was able to complete the race.

NASCAR Homestead-Miami weekend
This race in the Truck Series is going to determine the Championship 4 for Phoenix. There are two other playoff races going on for the NASCAR weekend at Homestead. Both the Cup Series and Xfinity Series drivers have a ton on the line and will be working very hard to pick up points, and hopefully, a win.
In this Truck Series race, Corey Heim has swept the stages. However, late in Stage 3 he’s starting to fall off. He might not have enough to win this race now. However, that means drivers like Zane Smith and Carson Hocevar are going to take advantage. Good news, Heim is already locked into Phoenix.
Some interesting things to look for, Grant Enfinger and Ben Rhodes are making gains on the field. They both need to pick up points and hope it is enough to claim one of the final three spots in the championship race. However, it looks like we will have a playoff driver win this South Beach race.
The NASCAR Playoffs at Homestead, it really doesn’t get better than this. Hopefully, the Reaume Brothers Racing crew member is cleared at the hospital.
