NASCAR Truck Series qualifying at Pocono rained out, starting lineup set
A light rain kept the NASCAR Truck Series from qualifying today in Pocono. The lineup is being set by the rule book today with Christian Eckes on the pole.
The NASCAR Truck Series race at Pocono will hopefully start on time at 5:00 PM today. Without qualifying, Eckes gets gifted the front row based on his hard work and the metric.
Stay tuned this afternoon, the race is going to be great. We just have to hope this rain goes away and stays away. Christian Eckes has three wins this season and he would love to add another win.
Starting on the front row, he will be in a great position to get the job done and earn his fourth checkered flag of 2024.
This season, Eckes only has a single finish outside of the top-10. He was a P32 DNF in Atlanta earlier this season. His performance in Nashville was one of the most dominant in recent NASCAR history.
Eckes won the pole, won both stages, led EVERY lap, and won the race. No one had led every lap of a NASCAR national series race since 2012. Is there a chance we could see Eckes in the Cup Series soon?
The worst finish Christian Eckes has had since Atlanta was a P10 finish at Charlotte. There is one issue for Eckes and his teammates at McAnally Hilgemann Racing, though.

NASCAR teams waiting for crews to arrive in Pocono
Due to inclement weather in Charlotte, there are a number of flights delayed. The issue with that, McAnally Hilgemann Racing has all of their over-the-wall crew members on those flights. That could be a problem.
If the flights haven’t left by now, then something will have to be improvised. It would stink for Eckes and his teammates to not have their pit crews with them for this race. Other members in the garage would likely show up to fill in the blanks if needed.
Pocono Raceway is a tough track. Tire and fuel strategy will be major. Pit stops will be very important. 175 miles is the furthest the Truck Series has gone at Pocono. That could throw a wrinkle into a number of team’s preparation tonight.
Christian Eckes on the pole, and a great race brewing likely between him and Corey Heim. Who is your pick to win?
