A tough ruling from NASCAR against the Truck Series team of Lawless Alan at Martinsville. The Tricon Garage No. 1 truck failed inspection twice. As a result, the team is going to lose its truck chief and will lose pit stall selection for the next race.

Lawless Alan is in the No. 1 Tricon truck this weekend. He is hoping to make a splash and show what he can do in top-quality equipment.

Unfortunately, the No. 1 truck failed inspection twice. Alan will lose out on his truck chief and the team will lose pit stall selection for Bristol. These pit stall selection penalties are delayed a race for the Xfinity and Truck Series.

He may be Lawless, but NASCAR is the law at Martinsville Speedway. That’s a tough break ahead of tonight’s race. The details from Bob Pockrass of FOX Sports.

Last season, Lawless Alan raced for Reaume Brothers Racing. That was a learning season after spending time at Niece Motorsports. To his credit, Alan elevated that RBR truck on multiple occasions.

Tricon Garage is a new step up for Alan. This truck gives him his best chance at winning. He is now with the Toyota group, racing for Venturini Motorsports full-time in the ARCA Menards Series. Today could be a big test for Alan as he tries to show his talents.

The NASCAR circus is at Martinsville this weekend with all three national series. Truck Series, Xfinity Series, and Cup Series. It should be a fun and exciting weekend of racing. It all starts tonight.

NASCAR Truck Series at Martinsville

Tonight in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, Corey Heim will lead the field to green. While his Tricon teammate is failing inspections, Heim was ripping fast laps in practice and qualifying. He’s looking for his third win of the season.

Winning won’t be easy. William Byron is in the Truck Series race. He will be looking to move up through the field and compete against these top drivers in the series for the win. Last week, it was Kyle Larson who was piloting the No. 07 to the win.

I have my eyes on Ty Majeski, starting P2. Layne Riggs is also starting near the front and will be a driver to watch. He was fantastic last week against Larson and Heim. Riggs happens to be a very good short track racer, too. He won at IRP and Milwaukee last season.

NASCAR Truck Series action at Martinsville tonight. Catch it at 7:30 PM ET on FS1. Old-fashioned short track racing is what’s on the menu.
