NASCAR’s Parker Kligerman challenges fans to beat him, win $5,000

Parker Kligerman has issued a challenge to NASCAR fans who think they can beat him in different racing competitions. The part-time Truck Series driver and The CW broadcaster debuted his new YouTube series in which he issued a $5,000 challenge to fans with zero driving experience to compete in different challenges.
Four challengers competed in three events, which were stopping in a designated box, taking a turn as fast as possible and making a right turn and then a left turn as fast as possible. The interesting thing about this competition was that Parker Kligerman’s brother, Bard, defeated his three challengers in all three events. He also defeated Parker in two of the events and walked away with $3,500 of his brother’s money.
“This is, without a doubt, the craziest thing I’ve ever attempted,” Kligerman wrote in the description on YouTube. “We took total amateurs and put them behind the wheel of a $125,000, 800HP car to see if any of them could beat me—a professional NASCAR driver—and win $5,000 of my own money. Why? A recent poll revealed that the number one pro-sport activity people believed they could do without practice was ‘Complete a competitive lap in NASCAR.’ That’s absolutely insane.
Parker Kligerman shares more on the challenge to fans
“We’ve all heard armchair racers say, ‘How hard can driving a race car really be? It’s just a car; I drive a car on the street.’ Some even believe they were meant to be F1 drivers if just given the chance. So, I decided it was time to test this claim. With help from my friends at The Autopian and Lime Rock Park, we brought in four complete amateurs (one of them happens to be my brother) to compete head-to-head in a series of increasingly difficult racing challenges.”
