Nashville Superspeedway to make change after Ryan Blaney's 2023 wreck

Every now and then NASCAR will make slight tweaks to the tracks its drivers race on and that’ll be the case this weekend at the Nashville Superspeedway.

The change will be the direct result of a wreck last year that could have been significantly worse, causing plenty of consternation in the sport about why a certain area on the superspeedway was not safeguarded.

The spot in question is on the infield track around the first turn in the track.

In 2023, Ryan Blaney made damaging contact with the inside track after being spun out. His car careened directly into wall head on, leaving his entire front end beaten up.

Blaney suffered concussion-like symptoms and had to receive special treatment to overcome them.

This time around, NASCAR will be a bit more careful. The plan is to place a tire pack that is stacked and then belted in front of the area this weekend, according to FOX Sports’ Bob Pockrass.

Bubba Wallace will be riding in style when the NASCAR Cup Series returns to Nashville Superspeedway this weekend for the Ally 400.

It seems as if Wallace’s No. 23 always has some fire paint schemes, and Sunday’s race will be no different, as Columbia and Luke Combs teamed up to help create a beautiful camouflage design for this weekend’s race. It’s not the first time the duo has adorned Wallace’s car, but it might be their best work.
