NBA suspends Joshua Primo for 'conduct detrimental to the league'
Former Alabama guard Joshua Primo has received a four-game suspension from the NBA for conduct detrimental to the league, it was announced on Friday.
Primo is currently a free agent after he was drafted by the Spurs with the No. 12 overall pick in the 2021 NBA draft. He was waived last October when news broke that he allegedly exposed himself to several women.
The statement from the NBA released Friday reads in part: “The league conducted its own investigation and consulted with relevant experts. Following that process, the league found that Primo engaged in inappropriate and offensive behavior by exposing himself to women. Primo maintains that his conduct was not intentional, and the league did not find evidence that he engaged in any sexual or other misconduct apart from these brief exposures.”
Primo has averaged 5.9 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 54 games thus far in his NBA career.
During his one season at Alabama, Joshua Primo averaged 8.1 points and 3.4 rebounds per game, while being named to the SEC All-Freshman team.

More on Joshua Primo suspension
Joshua Primo will serve a four-game suspension, assuming he signs with a new NBA team.
The 20-year-old from Canada released the following statement after being released by the Spurs last October:
“I know that you all are surprised by today’s announcement,” Primo stated. “I’ve been seeking help to deal with previous trauma I suffered and will now take this time to focus on my mental health treatment more fully. I hope to be able to discuss these issues in the future so I can help others who have suffered in a similar way. I appreciate privacy at this time.”
