Kyle Larson had a very special guest in Victory Lane after his dominant win in Sunday’s AdventHealth 400 at Kansas Speedway. It was Nebraska head football coach Matt Rhule, who posed with Larson and his team.

Rhule was one of several sports stars in attendance. Kansas City Chiefs general manager Brett Veach and Chiefs wideout Rashee Rice also took in the action from the racetrack. Rhule, however, is a big NASCAR fan. He’s also been busy this week.

This past Monday, “WWE Raw” was live from the Chi Health Center in Omaha. Naturally, the Nebraska football team was invited ringside to watch the action first-hand. This included Rhule, quarterback Dylan Raiola and running back Emmett Johnson, who were all shown on the broadcast during the middle of the show.

Rhule didn’t make it on the FS1 broadcast on Sunday, but a trip to Victory Lane will more than suffice. Rhule was in the presence of greatness, as Larson made easy work of his competition. Larson led 221-of-267 laps after starting on the pole.

He led every stage, scoring max points to notch his third victory of the 2025 Cup Series season. Larson did have a few drivers who challenged him, mainly Christopher BellChase Elliott and Brad Keselowski. But nobody was as fast and as good as Larson.

“I was trying really hard to pace myself because I believe that was our longest run of the day,” Larson told Regan Smith of FOX Sports. “I’ve been struggling a little bit at the end of the runs. Chase was really good, so I felt like I just needed to try and be better on my end. I don’t know if it was paying off at the end. I was still struggling.

“I don’t know if the right front was starting to wear a lot or what, but I was starting to lose a lot of grips and then I was vibrating really bad. I was afraid a right rear or something would let go. But yeah, great car and great execution today from our team.”
