Netflix’s ‘NASCAR: Full Speed’ Season 2 expected release date revealed
Back in January of 2024, Season 1 of NASCAR: Full Speed debuted. This time around, fans will have to wait until the spring to see Season 2. Two of the executive producers on the show recently revealed the date for April 2025.
Last year, the timing of the series was applauded. It was right before the Clash and well before the Daytona 500 to allow fans a chance to recap last season. New and old fans alike tuned into the show.
Tim Mullen and Jackie Decker, executive producers on NASCAR: Full Speed, recently spoke to What’s on Netflix about the upcoming season. It’s not, on its face, as ideal.
“Last season we had some great, great characters, and some great storyline came from that, and it’s the same again this year, which is in March or April of next year,” Decker explained.
“Yeah, the Netflix schedule is a little bit thicker this time in February, so the next iteration of the show, season two, will drop in April,” Mullen followed up.
Fans can expect Season 2 of NASCAR: Full Speed to be the same in many ways. Five episodes of 45 minutes each. The story will detail the NASCAR Playoffs and the journey of the drivers involved in that playoff battle.
If you are hoping to see a lot of Chase Elliott, don’t hold your breath. The seven-time Most Popular Driver has no interest in letting Netflix get into his life. But there will be plenty of other stories to look forward to in Season 2.

‘NASCAR: Full Speed’: How will April affect viewership?
The nice thing about Season 1 of NASCAR: Full Speed was the fact you could binge it right before the season. It was perfect. This time around, an April release feels strange. Then again, there might be numbers telling Netflix that it will be fine debuting later in the season.
NASCAR fans watching the season in real time in 2025 will be watching it amid Darlington, Bristol, and Talladega. This is also a reminder that NASCAR is a small fish in a big pond when it comes to Netflix and scheduling on the platform.
There is reason to believe this spring date could work in NASCAR’s favor. The Clash, Daytona 500, and usually the first three or four races of the year get a slight bump in viewership. Fans are excited about the year, new viewers want to check out the races.
By the time April rolls around that interest dies out a bit. Perhaps a Netflix show coming out in the spring, right when NCAA March Madness ends and in an otherwise slow period in professional sports, will work in NASCAR’s favor. 88% of viewers last year did not watch the championship in 2023.
If you can get them to tune in at Darlington, Bristol, and Talladega after watching the Netflix series, that’s a big win. Those are some of the best tracks on the schedule. That’s your glass-half-full take, although I think the January date is more ideal.
