New dad Tony Stewart makes hilarious joke about changing diapers
As a new father, Tony Stewart is embarking on perhaps his most exciting journey yet. But that does not include changing diapers. The 53-year-old dad has somehow avoided one of the toughest tasks of parenthood.
Tony Stewart has reached the highest heights of NASCAR. His sprint car career speaks for itself. Even in drag racing he is winning division championships and most recently Top Fuel Rookie of the Year.
Smoke replaced his wife, Leah Pruett, in the Top Fuel car this season. He will do the same in 2025. Going 334 MPH? Not a big deal. Changing a diaper? Not happening.
Lee Spencer of Catchfence shared a fun quip that Stewart had at an event for his NHRA team. He is having a good time being a dad, but “I’m undefeated,” the driver said when the topic of diaper changes came up.
Things have changed a lot for Tony Stewart in the last couple of years. His NHRA career has taken off, he is now a father, and he is no longer a NASCAR Cup Series team owner.
With a newborn son, Leah Pruett wants to take time to just be a mom instead of a racer. That’s completely understandable and means NHRA fans will see Stewart in Top Fuel for at least one more season.
While Stewart-Haas Racing has closed up shop, Stewart is still waiting on a couple of charters to be sold. The 23XI Racing, Front Row Motorsports lawsuit is holding that up at the moment.

Tony Stewart, Gene Haas waiting on charter sales
At the moment, 23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports are supposed to receive one charter each from Stewart-Haas Racing. That is all in limbo as the antitrust lawsuit continues into the offseason.
For Tony Stewart and Gene Haas, that means they are still waiting to get paid. The most recent development in the case comes in the form of a response from NASCAR to the teams’ request for a preliminary injunction.
That injunction would make NASCAR allow 23XI and FRM to sign the charter agreement, withholding the clause that waives their rights to antitrust claims, pending the results of the lawsuit. That would likely allow the teams to finalize the purchases of the SHR charters.
Tony Stewart has a lot going on. I’m sure the last thing he’s worried about is this lawsuit. He is focused on how to avoid changing diapers as long as he can. I have a feeling his undefeated streak may come to an end.
