New details emerge in alleged Tyreek Hill assault case

New details have emerged in the alleged assault involving NFL wide receiver Tyreek Hill. Pro Football Talk reported that the victim in the alleged incident was a 57-year-old man.

The incident reportedly occurred on Father’s Day, as Hill, agent Drew Rosenhaus and others embarked on a fishing trip. It started with a disagreement before the Miami Dolphins receiver allegedly struck the man.

According to a report from Andy Slater FOX Sports 640 South Florida, Hill allegedly slapped the man in the back of the head following a disagreement at the marina. The argument reportedly began when Hill’s crew attempted to board the boat without permission.

At this time, the victim does not wish to press charges. PFT also reported that surveillance video of the incident exists. No other details regarding the situation have been made available.

Hill, 29, completed his first season with the Dolphins in 2022. He ended the year with a career-best 1,710 yards on 119 catches. He also had seven touchdown receptions.

Hill spent the first six seasons of his NFL career with the Kansas City Chiefs. He won a Super Bowl ring with the team and has earned a Pro Bowl honor every year since entering the league in 2016.

Drew Rosenhaus catches heat from PETA

This was quite the fishing trip for Hill and Rosenhaus. The Miami-based sports agent is also under fire for his actions on the trip, wrestling a shark while in the ocean.

Rosenhaus posted the video to social media, seemingly bragging about his fearlessness. But it didn’t sit very well with PETA, which didn’t hold back in its criticism of the agent.

“Spending so much time around top athletes must have Drew Rosenhaus feeling like he has something to prove,” PETA said, per TMZ Sports.

“Aquatic animals already suffer at the hands of anglers who impale them, yank them out of the water, and gut them or leave them to suffocate, so they don’t need some wannabe macho man yanking on their tails for a few Twitter ‘likes.’”

PETA wasn’t the only disgruntled audience. Some of the social media users who saw Rosenhaus’ video also chimed in.

One social media user wrote: “Damn a shark and a snake in the same video!”

Another voiced concern for the shark: “Nah this ain’t it. There’s a reason why sharks are endangered.”

Maybe taking a summer fishing trip wasn’t the best idea for Hill and Rosenhaus.
