Another undrafted rookie free agent from the 2022 NFL Draft has found a new home. According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, former Miami Hurricanes quarterback D’Eriq King is signing with the New England Patriots.

King spent six years playing college football between Houston and Miami. And for both schools, King was the star of each team’s offense, putting up big numbers. For his career, he threw for 8,378 yards, 76 touchdowns, and just 19 interceptions. King also ran for over 2,000 yards with 32 touchdowns on the ground and caught another five touchdowns. Despite that, the five-foot-eleven quarterback from Manville, Tx, went undrafted. One of the biggest reasons for this is King’s inability to be available. In his final season with the Hurricanes and the Cougars, King missed most of the season after being knocked out with an injury.

King is the seconnd quarterback acquired in this draft by the Patriots. New England selected western Kentucky’s Bailey Zappe in the fourth round.

Harley, a five-foot-11 senior from Fort Lauderdale, FL, played a sizable role in the Hurricanes’ pass offense, primarily from the slot position. The five-year senior wide receiver spent his entire finished collegiate career in Miami and ended it with 182 catches or 2158 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Harley is the second slot size receiver that the Browns have picked up during this draft process. In the third round, they spent the No.99 overall pick on wide receiver David Bell out of Purdue. They will join former Cowboys receiver Amari Cooper as the latest additions to the Browns receiving room.
