Wan’Dale Robinson was a standout wide receiver at Kentucky, and now he’s taken his game to the next level. Selected No. 43 overall by the New York Giants in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft, Robinson’s dream of playing in the NFL came true – and he’s ready to make the most of his opportunity.

A former On3 Consensus four-star recruit out of the Class of 2019, Robinson put together a highly successful season for Kentucky in 2021 after transferring from Nebraska. Making 104 total receptions for 1,334 yards and seven touchdowns, Robinson excelled in his lone collegiate campaign in his home state and became a second-round NFL pick.

In his first press conference after being selected by the Giants, Robinson discussed how he will fit into the team’s offense.

“We haven’t really got into the details of everything, but obviously we know the versatility,” Robinson said. “Me coming in, I’m just going to do everything that I can to help our team win and just help the offense in whatever way I can.”

Continuing his conversation with reporters, Robinson – who stands at just 5-foot-11 – was asked if there were any smaller wide receivers he could compare his game to.

“There’s guys that compare, but at the end of the day I want to be my own guy,” Robinson said. “I don’t want to be anybody else. I like to take bits and pieces of people’s game and apply to mine, but I want to come in and just be myself and help us win.”

Robinson – who totaled 2,248 yards and 10 touchdowns over the course of his three-year college career – joins a Giants team that went just 4-13 overall in 2021. After firing head coach Joe Judge, New York brought in Brian Daboll – the former Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator – to lead the organization into the future.
