New York Jets select Armand Membou in first round of 2025 NFL Draft

The New York Jets have selected former Missouri offensive tackle Armand Membou in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft. After four stellar seasons with the Tigers, Membou is now set to play at the next level.
The 6-foot-3, 325-pound offensive tackle out of Missouri climbed up draft boards over the past year after posting a dominant 2024 campaign. According to Pro Football Focus, he allowed zero sacks/hits, while just allowing nine hurries in 827 total snaps. His overall grade is a 90.4, according to PFF. Missouri once again posted an impressive season this year, finishing 10-3 overall, including 5-3 in the SEC.
In 2023, the Tigers finished with an 11-2 overall record, including 6-2 in the SEC. They capped off the season with an impressive 14-3 win over the Ohio State Buckeyes in the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic.
That season was when Membou really made a name for himself. The Missouri offensive line was named a semifinalist for the Joe Moore Award, honoring them for the most outstanding offensive line in the country. He was part of an offensive unit that rushed for 200 yards five times. Membou helped propel the offense to 500 yards of total offense in three consecutive weeks (Memphis, Vanderbilt, and LSU) and five times total.
Membout was invited to the Senior Bowl in February. However, he had to pull out of the showcase due to illness.

What NFL Draft experts are saying about Armand Membou
Now that Armand Membou has been drafted, fans may be wondering what to expect from their new offensive tackle. NFL Draft analyst Lance Zierlein provided his analysis of the standout tackle.
Zierlein: “Young, talented prospect whose lack of NFL-tackle size will test teams’ willingness to make exceptions to their standards. Membou plays with composed quickness and elite body control. He delivers good pop on contact and has the range to spring runs with blocks in space.
“Footwork and core strength fuel stick-block sustain, but he can be outreached by edge-setters. His pass sets are technically sound, and he processes twists and blitzes quickly. Membou plays with a varied pass-set strategy and crafty hands to stymie rush momentum, but teams will have to live with long-armed rushers collapsing the pocket on him at times. Hands and feet work in unison to mirror speed and edge-to-edge rush challenges.
“He’s still growing into his frame but his game boasts unusual maturity. Membou’s potential impact at a premium position should keep him at tackle, but he has outstanding potential regardless.”
