The New York Jets have reportedly signed former San Francisco 49ers cornerback Isaiah Oliver to a one-year deal for the 2024 season, according to Mike Garafolo. Oliver spent the 2023 season with the 49ers but they released him into free agency last month, clearing $2.4 million in cap space.

Helping San Francisco reach the playoffs with a 12-5 record, the veteran cornerback had 67 tackles, which put him fifth on the defense. He also had two tackles for loss and a fumble recovery. During the postseason run, Oliver played primarily on special teams, recording 35 snaps across three games. He played the 2023 season on a two-year deal for $6.75 million.

In six seasons in the NFL out of Colorado, Oliver has recorded 270 tackles, three interceptions and 36 passes defended. In 2022 for the Falcons, he recorded 33 tackles, an interception and seven passes defended.

The Atlanta Falcons drafted Oliver with No. 58 overall pick in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft out of Colorado. While with the Buffaloes, he was an All-Pac 12 First-Team honoree.

Oliver is now heading to his third NFL team in his seventh season in the league. It’s also another cross-country move for the former Pac-12 star.
