No name will be bigger in baseball free agency this offseason than Aaron Judge. Not just because of what he accomplished in the Bronx this season, hitting .311 with 62 home runs and 131 RBIs. But since he’s a New York Yankee, all eyes will be on whether or not he resigns with the Bombers.

The baseball season has not quite ended, with the World Series starting on Friday. However, social media science has already begun in Judge’s free agency as everyone tracks his every move. On Thursday night, it was revealed by Bleacher Report that the star outfielder no longer follows the Yankees on Twitter or Instagram.

Judge has not gone full-blown social media scrub, still having photos of him in a Yankee uniform and posing for pictures with his teammates. However, as Bleacher Report revealed, going out of your way to unfollow the official accounts is an interesting move heading into the winter.

“Aaron Judge appears to have unfollowed the Yankees on Twitter and Instagram,” Bleacher Report tweeted on Thursday night.

Aaron Judge decided to bet on himself this season, turning down a seven-year contract worth over $213.5 million from the New York Yankees. The gamble paid off in a big way, as Judge broke the American League home run record and is likely on his way to being named the AL MVP.

Multiple big named teams are rumored to be interested in Judge, once he officially hits the open market. Maybe worst-case scenario for Yankee fans — the New York Mets — is viewed as a serious landing spot. Judge could also head back home to the West Coast to sign with the Los Angeles Dodgers and add to their already ridiculous lineup.

The Yankees will still make a run after somebody who grew into the face of the franchise this season. Even with a disappointing end of the season, once again losing to the Astros in the ALCS, ownership will want Judge back hitting home runs over the short porch for years to come.
