NFC Championship Game set: Eagles vs. Commanders game time, TV channel
The NFC Championship Game is set. Following the results from Divisional Round weekend, the Philadelphia Eagles will host the Washington Commanders with a spot in Super Bowl LIX up for grabs.
The Eagles advanced to the NFC Championship Game with a 28-22 victory over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, while the Commanders earned their spot after a 45-31 win over the Detroit Lions on Saturday.
At a cold and snowy Lincoln Financial Field, the Eagles outlasted their NFC counterparts thanks to some timely plays on defense. Philadelphia’s No. 1 ranked defense forced two second half turnovers — a Kyren Williams fumble and a Matthew Stafford fumble. Offensively, it was the Saquon Barkley show. The 2,000-yard tailback rushed for 205 yards on 26 carries, including a 62-yard score in the first quarter and a game-clinching 78-yard touchdown late in the fourth quarter.
With the matchup set, the NFL has released the official kickoff time for next Sunday’s game between the two NFC East rivals who each tallied a victory in their two previous meetings this season.

For the Commanders, this will be the most important game they’ve played since their Super Bowl XXVI victory in the 1991 season. Washington has just three playoff wins — including this postseason run — since the turn of the century.
Rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels has two of them and he’s been the difference maker for the Commanders throughout the season. Daniels threw for 299 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 51 yards in the win over Detroit, continuing to build his case for the best rookie season in NFL history. If the Commanders want to become Super Bowl bound, they’ll need Daniels at his best once more.
“I always believe,” Daniels said after the game. “I always believe that we could achieve more than what people give us credit for, but you gotta go out there putting in work, you gotta go out there and work daily, get better each and every day. Just put your head down and grind, and by the time of the season, you look up and you might be in a position like this.”
